28) General comments and predictions by astrophysicists on cosmology
The followings are quoted from the last paragraphs of the book named “The Culture of Big Bang, Was there a Bang?”, 1995, by William C. Mitchell of Carson City, USA (ISBN : 0 - 9643188 - 0 -6) with whom I had corresponded and also sent him my booklet "The Regeneratig Universe" in 1998 :-
“According to Thomas S. Kuhn in his book of 1962, The Structure of Scientific Revolution, as reviewed in Scientific American in May 1991, “Scientists are deeply conservative. Once indoctrinated into a paradigm, they generally devote themselves to solving ‘puzzles’, problems whose solutions reinforce and extend the scope of the paradigm, rather than challenging it. Kuhn calls this ‘moping up’, But there are always anomalies, phenomena that the paradigm cannot account for or that directly contradict it. Anomalies are often ignored. But if they accumulated, they may trigger a revolution (also called a paradigm shift, although not by Kuhn), in which scientists abandon the old paradigm for a new one.
“Denying the view of science as a continual building process, Kuhn asserts that a revolution is a destructive as well as a creative event. The proposer of a new paradigm stands on the shoulders of giants and bashes them over the head. He or she is often young or new to the field, that is, not fully indoctrinated.
“That may describe the present status of cosmology. A revolution may be imminent. Although there’s no joy in bashing the heads of the giants of Big Bang cosmology (using the metaphor Kuhn or his reviewer borrowed from Newton), that injustice is probably inevitable; and perhaps it’s time for an alternate cosmology to replace the old BBT paradigm, at least for a while.”
Another prominent astrophysicist Jayant Narlikar remarked in 1981:
"...These arguments should indicate to the uncommitted that the big-bang picture is not as soundly established, either theoretically or observationally, as it is usually claimed to be — astrophysicists of today who hold the view that “the ultimate cosmological problem” has been more or less solved may well be in for a few surprises before this century runs out... ".
What an alarming thought! Why are there so many prophetic insights in particular to modern cosmology?
Here is another paragraph, if I may quote, from the last sentence of
the all time best seller
" A Brief History of Time " by Stephen Hawking,
which summarizes :-
"....... However, if we do discover a complete theory (meaning of the universe), it should in time be understandable in broad principle by everyone, not just a few scientists. Then we shall all, philosophers, scientists, and just ordinary people, be able to take part in the discussion of the question of why it is that we and the universe exist. If we find the answer to that, it would be the ultimate triumph of human reason -- for then we would know the mind of God. "
Indeed! and with that understanding in mind, these pages have been written for all readers, so that everybody who uses the InterNet can take part in the discussion and investigation. No indirect tools of argument are involved here, just plain simple and direct descriptions and explanations, not even mathematics are involved. But as long as discussions are told within well established principles, as well as common facts of science, and are already serving their purpose, then no further instruments are really needed.,, ,,,, ...
I read also in the masterfully written book titled "The Elegant Universe" Chapter 12 "Beyond Strings: In Search of M-Theory", the author, a string theorist, Prof. Brian Greene writes:-
".... If there is a final theory of nature, one of the most convincing arguments in support of its particular form would be that the theory couldn't be otherwise. The ultimate theory should take the form that it does because it is the unique explanatory framework capable of describing the universe without running up against any internal inconsistencies or logical absurdities. Such a theory would declare that things are the way they are because they have to be that way..... ".
Well, our universe is now found to be running away from us ever faster, and we can call it The Accelerating Universe. The colossal energies that move the entire universe and cause the galaxies to shift away from each other can only come either from within the galaxies themselves or from within the practically empty space. So which should it be? Since it cannot be the rather empty space, then it must be the galaxies! Besides, only then can the disappearance of all those cosmic bodies, such as the stars and planets, through the galactic spiral can be accounted for, as they are converted into wave energies and emitted into space. So in conclusion, we can now truly rest our case, because in our plain and naked T.R.U.TH. there is neither possibilities of imaginary mathematics, nor any logical enigma, such as a Singularity, and what's more, there is no need for it... T.R.U.TH. has simply told it as it is! ..
