7) What are the roles a galaxy plays in the universe?

Few days ago (14th Jan 2005) European Space Agency's space probe Huigen landed on Titan, one of Saturn's satellites. It's quite unbelievable to think that the humankind who has been stuck on earth since eternity is now taking a good look at this heavenly body, while just a short while ago this heavenly ball was worshipped as a god. Now this is a reality, not figment of imagination any more! This unbelievable achievement is the credit of engineers whose vision and labour have brought Huigen safely on the surface of Titan...  Yet, even this is just the very beginning. It reminds me of a baby taking the first few steps in its young life, when the parents are watching anxiously for fear that it might fall onto the corner of a furniture. Yes, safety is the main concern! Safety is what makes the Huigen space probe a success after 7 years of journey through the unfamiliar space. Hurray! Because each successful space probe is a step closer not only to understand what kind of universe we live in, but also to prepare for our eventual space migration, in case the earth becomes too crowded or something might happen to it. To preserve the further existence and development of this unique human race must be the ultimate efforts and goal. But of course if we could begin to understand the universe through intellectual projections without the costly space probes, that's what we should always do first!   

This is what the knowledge of cosmology should be! Cosmology is all about the unfamiliar and unexplored space through intelligence and rationalization. Its main concern should also be safety, which can never be over emphasized. It means all postulates and theories in cosmology should be realistic and based on well tested knowledge. It's only with proven and safe engineering knowledge that scientists have designed and brought Huigen to land on Titan. The human capacity of mobility is extremely limited, as we have only two legs to walk on, yet we do arrive Titan with shear intelligence and know how. For the same reason, our physical perception is also limited, as we can only see as far as the observable universe. Beyond that the galaxies are receding from us with velocity greater than light and we can perceive no more! But the universe must be trillions of trillion times bigger than our observable portion. So, are we ever able to understand it in its entity? We can! Just as our ancestors never thought that human machine could ever land on Titan, so as long as we stick to the principle of exact and proven knowledge with safe approach, we and our successors can know the entire universe without having to be there personally. So, if the little human baby can learn to walk safely without nasty accidents, soon he will know how to run, even to send space ships to the satellite of Saturn! You can also be sure that before this century is out, many of our own kind will be living and working in some such cosmic balls.

We already know that the universe must be infinitely greater than our observable portion. We know that because there is an undeniable phenomenon called evolution going on. These recent few days scientists are telling us that Titan resembles the enfant stage of earth, meaning that all the stability, maturity and intricate complexity of life have not yet developed on Titan, but it will with our help. If we can rely on our scientific experiences to make such projections with certainty, then we know also that the universe must be quite ageless in human terms, and what's more, it must consist of large and small regional portions, so that evolutions and regeneration may take place... Let's face it, we must all be educated to think, rationalize and make sure we stand on solid ground.  Everything that's out of our sight physically must depend on our capacity of intellectual projection. When intellectual projection are repeated numerous times and proven true, they are called common knowledge. Common knowledge are never too exciting but they are safe. That's what cosmology should depend upon, if possible...   

Everything we know has a primitive beginning, then knowledge and maturity grow out of a slow process called Evolution. Only where does evolution come from? Well, the question is well placed, for after all, it's some ancient primate's distant cousins that are dreaming up space explorations as such, or even writing Internet pages as this. The miracle of cosmology starts from one place, the one and only place, galaxy, because the alternate choice would be the cosmic space, and that's most unlikely...  Deep in the heart of the galaxy there resides a dynamic field symmetry, which behaves like a living organ. This symmetry consists of 12 equal divisions and can accommodate many basic symmetries such as the oppositions, the equilateral triangles, the squares, hexagons, etc., and can arrange them into its own constantly balanced shape. As a dynamic symmetry, it has the built-in capacity to detect imbalance, to judge and decide, then act to maintain its internal balance, just like a programmed computer or a robot. Behind such complicated artificial automation there lies the most original kind of intelligence, i.e.. nature's basic ability to detect and maintain balance. There are also billions of basic single cell living organisms on earth that can do not much more, other than living on very primitive reflexes of balance... The action of symmetry is the beginning of evolution in nature, which in due time accumulates to build up the most advanced intelligence, including our own.  Because the symmetry is really the start of all miracles in nature, I call it Miracle-12.  In this aspect, the Miracle-12 is nature's nerve center or the organ of senses and reflex, and the galaxy plays the important role as the motivation and soul in the evolution of the universe. Every single wonder in nature is built with a simple device, the forces in symmetry.

There are 4 forces, which energize every interaction in nature. They are Gravitation, Electromagnetic radiation, Strong and Weak forces. Out of these forces only two of them can move through space, because they are forces in waves, and only waves can propagate and transmit forces through cosmic space. Where and how then are waveform of spatial force created? Certainly not by the cosmic space. So it must be the galaxies too! Indeed, it's the galaxy that converts all the galactic mass to pure energy flux, and the Miracle-12 then pulses the energy flux into waves, and dispatch them into cosmic space. These outgoing waveform energies from galaxies are known as cosmic microwave radiations or electromagnetic radiations, which can be observed ad measured by instruments on earth. However, the conversion of mass to energy produces an unbelievable program of steady energy from each and every galaxy, which are synchronized together in unison. They are so abundant and strong that they cause the galaxies to recede from each other, making a expansion of universe in acceleration. This is the main role assumed by galaxies. 

Another main role played by the galaxies is that the strongest range of its emissions are the radiations with shortest wavelengths and the highest frequencies. Such high frequencies are higher than those of Gamma Rays and therefore stronger than Gamma Rays. They are difficult to measure and are referred to in this website as Extreme Galactic Rays, or EGR (click to see Definition of EGR). These strongest range of radiations interact with the Strong Nuclear Force in the atoms, causing it vibrate and induce another energy in waves, which are the Gravitational wave. This theory is brand new and only postulated in this website. But since the Strong Nuclear Force is the only force within the atomic mass that possesses the property of attraction, yet unrelated to magnetism, it is the only possible origin and explanation for gravitational waves. Besides, the range of high frequency also vibrates with the much weaker atomic binding force, i.e. the Weak Nuclear Force, in the atoms causing the atom to release Carbon-14 radiations with an extremely precise rate. Because wave energies may be relayed and interfered, they synchronize together in spatial dispatch from galaxy to galaxy until everything in the observable universal realm resonate with them. That means that not only atom but also every cell in the human body are also affected by them. But because the human who is born in it, as well as lives and die in it, and because such forces are so steady and unchanging that they are unnoticed and undetected by the human body. In this regard, the Miracle-12 acts as the heart beat that makes rhythmic pulses, whilst the galaxy is the heart that gives life, not only to the universe, but to all living being within it.

The universe is an infinite existence, just like the mathematical term "Infinity" whose size cannot be fathomed or described, but its existence is a reality. However, despite the unfathomable dimension, the universe may be perceived to function like a "Closed" or "Near Closed" system, i.e. a system which is in the process of seeking balance.. Our inability to describe the dimensions of the universe lies solely on the limited capacity of human vision and visualization, not that such dimensions are unreal. We may however safely deduce that the universe functions like a Closed System, because unless all matters and energies are functionally conserved or very nearly conserved, then sciences as we know cannot perform with exactness, although no present day technology can detect a slow or minute difference, if any... However, within the universal system there are different sizes and characteristics of galaxies as well as different timing and process of interactions within the galactic communities. Any small difference in timing can resonate into large and chained fluctuations. Eventually different zones of action and reaction as well as timing will be formed. I call such mall and large zones "Universal Portions". A large Portion can be as large as our own, which we can't even see it entirety. And a small fluctuation could be like the congestion of galaxies in the Virgo Constellation. So as one new Portion of universe is being generated, another Portion might be undergoing regeneration. Consequently, as a whole, the universe is a regenerating universe. This phenomenon of Portions has not or cannot be explained by other theories of cosmology, except here! 

[Note:- Actually the human inability to define a size or number to infinity, is similar to the inability to perceive the origin of universe. Supposing evolution has been going on since an infinity of eons, and at each eon or each billion years one minute particle of mass or energy is created by nature itself. This minute change in the system would not affect the practical calculation of Conservation of Mass and Energy, nor would it alter noticeably any existing theory of science. So how can we be sure that it did not happen that way? Because if it did, then during those infinitely revolving evolutions in the infinite passing of time, the universe would have actually become what it is today. What matters is the length of time, not the magnitude of universe, because evidences collected on earth or within visible universe cannot represent the age of the complete and ever regenerating universe, or regenerating portions of universe. We have to face it sooner or later that we can't visualize what infinity is like, nor can we imagine how the universe has begun or would end. The only thing we do know is that the universe is regenerating itself at all times!... 

The Steady State Model of universe has a relatively similar theory. It postulates that between the existing galaxies additional materials are being created continuously out of cosmic space producing new galaxies, causing the universe to expand. If the rate of growth is slow enough it could also be undetectable by practical measurement. Only the universe is expanding away with speed faster than light, so if any new materials are being created, they are most likely to be observable...  The difference between Big Bang Theory and The Regenerating Universe Theory is that in B.B.T. the existence of its Singularity could never be logically explained. Then following the explosion of Singularity there was immediately a second explosion, called Inflation, which is even bigger, causing the universe to expand. Not only none of these can ever be demonstrated or proven by science, they are simply too fantastic to be logically digestible. Meanwhile, T.R.U.Th. can and does fully and scientifically explain not just the expansion of universe, but also the general balance and regeneration of the universe as well as the distribution and interaction of mass and energy in the universe. And its postulate of creation is only one particle of mass or energy in eons of time, which is impossible to detect by any means! ] 

Portions of universe, each containing countless galaxies, are therefore the consequence of huge regional fluctuating motions of universe. They are also inevitable and predictable phenomenon of nature. Portions of universe also fit in with the need to maintain perpetual fluctuations within the universe, which provide the exchanges of materials or genes between galaxies that enable the ever advancing evolutions and regenerations. It must be the reason that nature has perfected such complexity of orders, laws and predicable properties of each element, yet still maintaining the differences in material compositions as well as in behaviors, which we regard as science. In that process, time would become eternal for it must take eternities to evolve such constant background orders that we know as the laws of nature, which keep the universe in predicable functions and in perpetual regeneration. Yet, behind all changing events there are in fact just mass and energy in exchange, or galaxies in expanding and contracting fluctuations. For these reasons, the galaxies play also the role that provides the potential power and mobility, which endures the continuation of evolutios, and perpetuate the universal regenerations.

So, all our miraculous universe needs, in order to produce predictable orders, such as exact science, and beautiful things, such as the human beings, are really just mass and energy, where mass is endowed with intrinsic nature to change into energy, and energy is endowed with intrinsic nature to form propagating waves. Meanwhile to perform all these miracles, mother nature simply fits in each galaxy a living device, the Miracle-12, which knows what to do to pump life force into the universe. Then she makes galaxies to provide mobility and evolution, so that the entire system may regenerate. Once that is done, eternal regeneration will ferment the rest of miracles. That's why our universe is edging towards greater intelligence and perhaps more homogeneity and in unison between all its constituents as well as inhabitants... Perhaps that's why such a universe is slightly more complicated and more organized than just a big bang!
