9) A word about the Aquarian Age:- (The following passages have now become an independent page. They had been removed here from the page of Religion, because I thought that page has become far too long. However, readers are invited to read c) 3 ticking time bombs of the 21st century and page c2) Political religion in conjunction, because their materials relevant to each other). 

Let me finish this page "Religion" by reporting one of the oldest cosmological science, yet at the same time it is also the newest science in the world. This is the Astrology (another equally ancient cosmology is the Chinese I-Ching). Well, ever since the beginning of civilization humans have been observing the cosmos. They found patterns of motions and other phenomena of solar planets that affect human life and events on earth, which would in time become understandable and predictable. Although some believed that solar phenomena were divine manifestations and planets were gods, and so mythological deities were worshipped, others continued to observe and learn to predict those cosmic phenomena. Today we know these solar planets are just cosmic bodies that human made machines can visit. However, whilst supernatural beliefs came and went, the study of cosmic phenomena developed into a course of knowledge. Such knowledge were confirmed and correlated by numerous observers in different lands and cultures that it would become a specialized discipline of science. It is what is known as Astrology. 

Astrology was first begun in the sandy deserts pf Mesopotamia, today's Iraq, some 6000 years ago. The desert night skies in ancient time, as also in modern days, are usually crystal clear and people are able to observe the moving bodies of solar planets clearly with naked eyes. The science of astrology is fundamentally valid and correct, as it postulates that since no mass, nor energy, can possibly come out of nothing. Life and evolution on earth are therefore driven and energized chiefly by ambient cosmic energies, which are huge compared with human and animal physical energies. There are basically two kinds of enormous cosmic energies that affect everything to grow and decay on earth. Firstly, a program of practically regular and continuous dynamic energies produced by the sun, moon and solar planets, as well as their satellites and comets, etc., in motion. Secondly, this is the program of much farther away energies coming from distant stars, galaxies and Constellations, or the outer space. Both programs are cosmic energies, but separated by vast distance in between, giving noticeably big difference in timings and rate of incoming energies that drive the events and evolution on earth. 

The former program (or the inner space energies) noticeably affects those events within a span of human life, and the later program (or the outer space energies) affects those changing ages in human civilization and natural history. In other words, everything in space, cosmic objects or living things, are all synchronized and interlocked to evolve and change by energies affecting them. If such energies are huge, distinctive in characteristics and happen to have their known or predictable rates, then to some extent their effects and consequences may be predicted as well. This is also how Doctors judge the conditions of a sick person. Astrology therefore bases its predictions on those known rates of solar planetary motions, and some accumulated knowledge of influence or effects produced by each solar planet. Although I say Astrology is fundamentally valid and correct, there are some traditional assumptions, age old concepts and methods that do render its predictions only sporadically accurate, or inaccurate, or too involved. Lots of scientists have failed to verify its accuracy in precise experiments. Obviously such age old science still contains a few age old misconceptions somewhere. However, I do not intend to discuss astrology, nor to explain the reasons here. Here I only want to report the nature and understanding relating to "Aquarian Age", which is a derivative of Astrology. So let's go there! 

Briefly speaking, the cosmic energies of the more nearby solar system and their motion through the different degrees and segments of the ecliptic affect the changes of seasons as well as the daily changes in human life. This has always been the main interest and study of astrologers. However, there is also another part of astrology that finds interests and validity in the study of cosmic influence to the changing eras or ages on earth and in human history. It has been discovered millenniums ago that the Precession of Vernal Equinox through different parts of Constellations produces distinctive changing ages in history. Such ages are then given the name of the Constellation, e.g., the Piscean Age, the Age of Aquarius, etc.. Astrology worked rather meaningfully and persistently for thousands of years, and was once an important course of study in many major universities in Europe, but was discarded by the scientific authorities because it was overly and indiscriminately used to cure illnesses. Indeed, astrology could not sufficiently prove its validity and accuracy until recent years. Only when the daily motions of sun, moon and planets, including their tiny perturbations have become accurately calculated by computer programs in recent decades that Astrology quickly reassumes its importance in modern science. Therefore, it's the oldest, yet newest, science... So new that it could yet surprise the world, but let's stick to our topic the Aquarian Age!...

In recent years the University of Paris had given a Ph.D award to professional astrologer Madam Elizabeth Teissier. An university grade educational institute called Kepler College for dedicated study of astrology was established under official grant from educational authorities in the United States. Many other universities around the world are doing research on it. These measures are indeed important and necessary now, because any knowledge, old or new, that can enhance our further understanding of the cosmos are important in this cosmological age ... According to thousands of years of astrological and astronomical observations, it has been established that due to the wobble of the Earth's pole on its axis, the Vernal Equinox (sun at zero degree of Aries) moves backwards, describing a circle, along the plane of Ecliptic through the 12 Signs or Constellations of the Zodiac. As a result the Earth experiences notable changes of energy in the solar environment producing not only a succession of clearly predictable seasons and seasonal differences, but also great ages or long term changes affecting slow progression in civilization and ecology on earth, i.e. the Sun moves moves forwards through 12 Constellations producing 12 monthly and 4 seasonal changes, whilst the Axis of earth ( Vernal Equinox ) moves backwards through the same Constellations therefore would produces 12 Ages of Civilization with 4 more pronounced mega seasons too!.   

As this backward motion of Vernal Equinox describes a completes circle once every 26,000 years, dividing the Zodiac into 12 equal Signs, or 12 ages, each age therefore lasts 2160 years. The beginning of an age occurs when the Precession of Vernal Equinox enters a new Constellation. This Vernal Equinox has now precessed (going backwards) into the Constellation of Aquarius, therefore we are now living in the Aquarian Age (the 11th Sign of the Zodiac). As different scholars interpret the boundaries of Aquarian  Constellation differently, there are various opinions on the timing of entry into Aquarian Age, although in my own view it's just the beginning. There had been two historical junctions giving immeasurable change in human civilization that could have announced the arrival of Aquarian Age. The first is Copernicus' revelation of the solar system, but Copernicus's discovery did not immensely affect every life. The second is the discovery of electricity started by scientists like Michael Faraday around 1830, followed by combined efforts of development in the middle and second half of the 19th century by many nations. Then in the 1940s the nuclear explosion of Hiroshima and in 1950s the advent of Sputnik, the man made satellite had all signified the arrival of Nuclear and Space Age. 

However, the energy behind this combined new age is really electromagnetism, therefore the Aquarian Age may also be termed as the Age of Electromagnetic Energy, because all kinds of energies would end up in producing electricity. Nations like France and Japan today are using nuclear power to generate electricity for about 80% of national need. Practically every instrument for control or measurement on earth and in space has to do with electromagnetic energy. Electric light illuminates the entire world. Hospital equipments, any transport vehicles, household cooking utensils, air conditioners, computers, telephone, clocks and watches are all worked by electrical circuit designs. And now low intensity electric currents are being conducted through acupuncture needles into many parts of the body and tiny electronic computing devices are implanted even in the brain to control and cure brain malfunctions... Meanwhile, this modern age came into being sometime in the 19th century. Intellectual and philosophical pursuits, such as Positivism, Humanitarianism and Evolution boomed vigorously around the middle of 19th century. Boolean Algebra, which is the very foundation of modern computer logical circuitry, was published in 1847. Today electronic computer is changing the world. In short, for a little more than one and half century, human life and civilization has undoubtedly entered the great but dangerous Aquarian Age that affects every single life and every activities of life on earth.  

I therefore think that Aquarian Age had arrived a little more than 160 years ago. What's more, in 1839 Charles Darwin formulated his work on Natural Selection, the theory of Evolution, which, without a doubt, had decisively put an end to the Piscean Age. Therefore, the Vernal Equinox, which moves backwards one degree per 72 years, should now be in the 27th degree of Aquarius. This new Aquarian Age is clearly an age of constant scientific discoveries, the age of nuclear and electromagnetic energies, or of sudden break out of violence and wars, such as 1st and 2nd World Wars, or wars in the Gaza and in the Gulf, but thankfully also of humanitarianism, such as the growing animal rights and human rights, etc., etc... Electromagnetic energy  is also the energy of life of the great cosmos itself, as it also communicates, expands and unifies the entire universe. More and more nuclear-electric powers are going to be needed everyday. All other energies such as coal, fossil fuel, whatever  new fuels, etc., can only serve to provide more electromagnetic energy and applications. Because for a  phenomenon to be called an Age, it should be able to affect every single life, every household and practically every activity. This is indeed what electromagnetic energy does now! It is also important to explain the origin of cosmological electromagnetism because it expands, accelerates and unifies the universe...   

Clearly the Aquarian Age is a dangerous age due to its explosive discoveries of the explosive and contaminative energies. Yet, with the past cruel human atrocities still fresh in mind, there comes also clear and explosive revelations. If  human cruelty and explosive discovery of explosive energies were to continue, then before long both animal and human species could be extinct. The fear is instinctively felt at the back of every sensitive human mind, because there would be no winners or losers, just the spread of human emotions and nuclear energy as wide and fast as the contamination of radioactive materials. So, one of the consequences of Aquarian Age is the sudden concern for animal rights to be followed probably by real efforts on human rights. Now, this is just the very beginning!.... However we are still receiving some Piscean Age energies, but greatly reduced, because although the Vernal Equinox has become the precessed Ascendant in Aquarius, its 1st House still covers most of Pisces. Another phenomenon that supports my assessment for the Precession of Equinox is that roughly some 2200 years ago an age of religion began to descend upon Roman Empire that led to the birth of Christianity, which eventually affected and changed the entire Western World. This was the beginning of the Age of Pisces, the age of religion. However, all scholars agree that we have now entered the Age of Aquarius, and that we are experiencing the influences and energy of Aquarian Age, which is ruled by the energy and nature of planet Uranus....

Due to constant observation of stars and planets moving through the 12 Signs of the Zodiac, astrologers have learned to understand the characteristics and influences of each Zodiacal Sign. Aquarius is the 11th Sign of the Zodiac, ruled by Planet Uranus. I will not explain here how astrologers have come to determine the astrological meaning and nature of Aquarius, because it would take a whole book. I can only state here briefly the findings of astrology, which has some 6000 years of history and still going strong. The characteristics and influences of Aquarian Age have been an age old knowledge familiar to all astrologers. It is known to be the age of science, technology, pure logics, discoveries, revelations (of sciences, logics and truth), flashes of inspiration, freedom, travel, social as well as individual expression and freedom of thinking, and last but not least, it is also an age that sparks open humane and humanitarian revelations or understanding between humans to humans and between humans to other living beings. It is also the age of electric, electronic, digital, nuclear energy, nuclear weapons, aviation, space and radioactive technologies, and above all, cosmology. At the same time, it is also the age of great social and political changes as well as revolutions, sudden out break of conflicts and violence (both international and national, such as election violence, separatist violence, even individual violence ). Also as Uranus stands for unpredictability and explosiveness, there could be frequent occurrences of civil wars and sudden or unpredicted international wars, even accidental explosions, including nuclear explosions. This is reflected and evidenced by a boil of international conflicts in the 19th century, and more, even two World Wars, in the 20thcentur, just as soon as the Vernal Equinox entered Aquarius, and the Aquarian Age had begun...

Meanwhile the influence of the last age, the Piscean Age, is much weakened or on the way out. The Piscean Age, ruled or energized by planet Neptune and traditionally symbolized by two fishes swimming in opposing directions (just like the religion that covered the entire Piscean Age, which consisted two conflicting worships, namely monotheism and polytheism concurrently, which would later spread through out the world),  is known to embrace the energy and phenomena of mystics, mythology, belief, religion, imaginations, puzzles, delusions, intrigues, contradictions and deceptions, etc... The Piscean Age is also the age of chemistry, chemical explosives, drug, alcohols, herbal medicines, agriculture, poetry, music and arts, etc..

And the age before that (roughly 4300 years ago), namely the Age of Aries, being the 1st Constellation of the Zodiac, the beginning of an important great cosmic season, it had brought about the sudden advance in human civilization in many parts of the world. Astrologically speaking, this age is ruled by planet Mars, and the discovery of bronze weapons in this age also marks the start of large scale human wars. Now the new discovery of mass destructive weapons could start off the wars of mass destruction, unless the human civilization is adequately warned and prepared to understand it.  It appears that the excess of each preceding age brings about the imminent arrival of the succeeding age. The predictability of astrological science has been timelessly proven correct, and the actual happenings in individual and social life, even in civilization, have confirmed the science without a doubt. Alone in the last one century, in fact just in the last decade alone, the observable switch of collective phenomena from Piscean Age to Aquarian Age has been quite remarkably apparent and affirmative. And now, more and more discoveries of historical evidences are exposing the hidden mysteries and true backgrounds of some religions. Obviously this is barely the beginning of many more revelations to come. 

The era before the Age of Aries was the Age of Taurus, which covered roughly the era from 4300 to 6500 years from now. Taurus is said to be ruled or influenced by the energy of Venus. The Age of Taurus was mainly the age of agricultural developments, when rice and wheat had become the chief provisions of life. Astrologers are well acquainted with the founding that people born under the energy of Taurus are stubborn, persistent, unyielding and have great physical strength. It was only during the Age of Taurus that great feats of buildings, such as Stone Hinge, Pyramids and Great Walls were built. Therefore, using the data of these great archeological man made erections, it is not difficult to establish the time and span of the Age of Taurus... The age prior to this was the Age of Gemini, roughly 6500 to 7600 years ago. It was the dawn of human social communications and organization of communal activities. Also development of early languages and intellectual expressions. Still earlier was the Age of Cancer, roughly 10,000 years ago. It was the start of family or tribal life and activities       

However, the most important Age is the next Age of Capricorn (roughly 2000 years from now).  This coming Capricorn Age is unfortunately a really tough one. Life on earth would be extremely hard, difficult, poor, bitter, inadequate, restrictive, unforgiving and temperatures on earth would probably be cold too. If so, it would appear that something extremely cruel and destructive has happened to earth or to human society. This age will also last 2160 years. It probably happens because everything on earth is contaminated with nuclear radiation, which could take a couple of millenniums to dissipate due to the long "half life" of radioactive materials. If that were to be the case, then most crops or seeds could be contaminated and most animals would die. Probably only oceanic fish and some rare vegetations could sustain some human lives. Hopefully those few lucky survivors would finally learn the lesson... But I wonder who would survive? Those who think all day of war, make weapons for war and  love to gang up to make war, or those who are too clever to make war? But since the "Half Life" radioactive materials takes a couple of thousand years to disperse and disappear, it could happen anytime, even now! Although it is more likely to be towards the end of the Age. In other words, if global nuclear pollution had begun now, it would take a couple of millenniums to arrive at the point of change to another new age, which would be called the Sagittarian Age or Jovien Age, ruled by planet Jupiter, which will be really nice, happy and righteous, probably having learned enough from the Capricorn Age. It would be the Age of new start and therefore great expansion.  .  

Astrologers are all familiar with the characteristics of Capricorn, which is ruled by planet Saturn. The only thing is that most scholars still do not concur yet exactly when it would begin. But arrival of this age is unavoidable. Even without astrology, or even without the threat of global warming, it is conceivable that technologies and weapon technologies are not going to stop, and underground reserve of coal and fossil fuel would not be inexhaustible, therefore the continued need of energy must sooner or later depend on radioactive substance. This would mean that within this century or the next, the human race would have to live with dangerous levels of radoactive nuclear energy. Already the present Chinese government has taken voluntary step to limit the explosion of population. Perhaps by that time humans have already migrated to Moon or Mars, and would only come back to earth after the Capricorn Age is over. 

However, if such an unfortunate scenario is not caused by natural or accidental catastrophes, then it's possible that it is the result of human's own self undoing, i.e. massive suicidal nuclear wars. Because other catastrophes, such as the melting down of polar ice which is a gradual process, and could still be dealt with and made livable, so would not be that bad. Other than the ruination of earth ecology, our earth is normally protected by large neighbouring planets, such as Saturn and Jupiter, from attack of meteorites, which happens only once in millions of years, or only during the early formation of the solar system. But the danger of contaminating the world with wars or other causes of over dose radiation can be a reality in mere millenniums or centuries and less. Therefore, it not unrealistic that the human wars are likely to be the cause of the Capricorn Age.. Besides, the last time earth safely went through another Capricorn Age, it was roughly say 24,000 years ago. Of course the human was not so advanced and dangerous yet, therefore the last age of Capricorn was not so devastating. Perhaps archeologists and scientists would be able to dig out some comparative information by studying the earth crust, or ice cores dating back to say 25,000 to 30,000 years ago ... I do believe that astrological warning is valid, and have demonstrated quite a number of astrological predictions in the enclosed two letters to Deng Xiao Ping, which were also sent to UN. Those predictions were written well ahead the actual occurrence of events, but I am only an amateur student of astrology.

Lastly, of all the things I have written in this website, probably none is more important than what I am about to say in the following lines... Well, the nuclear age or the Aquarian Age has reached deep into our daily life and into our living rooms. Some countries, such as France, are already producing well above half of their total energy needs with nuclear power. Probably within the next one century, every country, big or small, must depend on nuclear technology to live a comfortable life. Once a technology is known and successfully deployed, it can never be un-learned. No one can stop the arrival of Aquarian Age or any great age. And yet any further aggressions between humans from now on, be they military, religious or political, will cause nuclear arms race and end up in nuclear confrontations, because once nuclear wars begin, most conventional weapons will be rendered ineffective. Therefore, from here on, people are not afraid of bullets or conventional bombs, each individual on earth and each responsible government should worry about the eventuality of mass destructive wars. There will be no more military invasions, no more attempt to change other nations' governments by means of wars or politics. There will be no more open or secret allegiance with political dissidents or parties to engineer civil wars or revolts. There will be no more unfair imposition of will on other human cultures, or human livelihoods, or human freedom to live their own accustomed ways of life, and above all, there will be no random and quick coalitions of wars without thorough investigation for the reasons and causes to start any wars.  

If nature's evolution is to continue its positive course and human qualities are to improve, giving civilization the chance to flourish in peace and maturity, then other than the social laws and international treaties, which can help, what really makes it possible is the ultimate self control or self awareness of each individual human beings. Today, most humans are beginning to be aware that animals are to be cared and not killed for sports, more and more people are also beginning to feel that humans too deserve to be cared and not destroyed for political glorifications, just like some kinds of national sports. The human is human only because he or she is capable of humane feelings, love, compassions and human intelligence. It's not just for the individual survival any more, but also for the masses, and certainly not the worship of wars or weapons, nor the continuation of barbaric or primitive behaviors. The human has become human and not primates any more! The human is now a learned, civilized and socially advanced being. If a national leader is capable of complains about other people's offence to human or animal rights, then he would also find it in his heart not to allow on his own action or ambition to cause, or to prolong, if any, the suffering of masses of innocent humans... What's more, if the human kind is to live together in the age of nuclear technology, hoping to produce intelligent and compassionate new generations, then from here on, all people must refrain from further aggressions or invasions, be they military, political or religious... and ideas and preparations to migrate to the Moon and Mars should already begin! If the universe can unify in regenerations, so can the humans...
