c2) Political Religion  

Human civilization grew up from its cradle to adulthood under the rule of monocracy. All past kings and emperors were autocrats or monocrats but not all monocracies or dictatorships are repressive and bad. In fact, great historic feasts have been achieved by great kings and great emperors who are praised and proudly remembered in each country. On the other hand, Hitler is a known and scorned dictator, yet he was elected and empowered by a modern democratic system. Saddam Hussein, who is presently on trial for crime against humanity, also claims to have been elected by the similar system. It's not the formality or mode of a political system that gives memorable leaderships, good or bad, it's the quality of leadership that brings to the nation praise or scorn. It's also the misbelieve of people and the misuse of political system by ambitious and demented men that usually bring the nation and the world at large human atrocities. Since the prehistoric time, humans have been worshipping gods or spirits under all kinds of different religions. But of all religions, only the monotheistic God (one God religion) of Roman Catholic has been the single biggest dictator or autocrat ruler there could possibly be. Even its church is today still the only remaining true monocracy on earth, not only in its religious belief, but also in its mode of electing a Pope. The Christian God is described as the Maker, the Father, the Almighty, the Lord, the Mater, the Supreme Being, or anything one can think of an absolute super super autocratic authority. He must be feared or loved or whatever the priests make Him to be. Believers must kneel and beg or pray for His mercy and forgiveness. Since there is nothing greater, He has been therefore the biggest dictator there could possibly be! Yet, no one has ever shown or proved what He is, or complained about His dictatorship! However, history describes that such a monotheistic religion was a direct political creation dated back to the 4th century by Roman emperor Constantine I... So, let us look into that historic background...

According to history, the Roman Empire had already fallen into disorder on and off since middle of the 1st century AD, but during 3rd century the imperial control collapsed into a whole century of anarchy (AD 193~286), and the Roman society went into a total confusion after seemingly endless time of lawless and dangerous social chaos and also hopeless moral deterioration, especially towards the end of the 3rd century. Then in 296 AD soldier Diocletian was supported by his troop and friends to claim the crown as emperor. Diocletian barely managed to refound the Roman State. He divided the Empire into Western and Eastern Roma Empires, each with an emperor and a deputy emperor. He then shared half of the empire with his friend Maximian who had been his trusted comrade, and proceed with the help of his supporters to restore orders in that vast and troubled empire. During those long centuries of anarchic conditions, the new belief of Christianity was growing from the East into the West towards Rome, while the Empire predominantly worshipped Pagan religion. Because in ancient societies religion played a vital role in the rule of the land, the difference between the monotheistic Christian God and the Pagan plural gods further added conflicting chaos to the already anarchic havoc of the empire, especially as the invading belief was a foreign cult trying to take over the traditional Pagan belief.  Diocletian tried to clean up Christianity with extreme measures, such as putting Christians in the Colosseum to be killed, but it was too late. He did not succeed in annihilating Christianity, instead, he had only caused the Christian martyrdom to blaze forth, and made it more resolute (Note:- Suicidal passions can and do inflame into great blaze, as we are often reminded of, or witness at times). 

However, Diocletian and his successor emperor Constantine both were forced to accept  that imperial affairs could not function at all unless their imperial subjects were made to worship gods in a manageable way. At that time Pagan religion, a polytheistic religion (believing in multiple gods) was the predominant religious belief.. Paganism in fact by then had already far reaching and deeply rooted tradition passed down from distant Roman history (as can be evidenced by their place of worship, the magnificent Pantheon, which still stands in Rome today), but at this time it had begun to collapse into chaos and corruption in Rome. Despite Diocletian's great efforts to reorganize and inject new life into Pagan religion, and his brutal persecution of the Christians, but his efforts were infertile. It was impossible to re-energize and revitalize an old religious belief already out of control, while a new religion was rising to take place. The fact is in most ancient societies religion was everything. Rulers were said to be empowered, supported or directly sent by God or Gods, and therefore imperial authorities were in fact heaven's will. Now, the anarchic Roman Empire had conflicting gods, and it was getting worse. Something urgent had to be done. So, a few years later, Diocletian's successor emperor Constantine completely reverted the whole efforts made by Diocletian. Constantine decided that the only way to revert the chaos was to change polytheism to monotheism, although his own actions were extremely self conflicting. He was probably influenced by Christians during his childhood in the Eastern provinces where he grew up and where Christianity was expanding. Also during the great persecution of Christians by Diocletian, he was probably approached and convinced by desperate Christian relatives from his mother's side of the family. 

Anyway, after a century of anarchy, added by religious turmoil and Diocletian's unsuccessful attempt to eliminate the spreading Christianity, it's not difficult to imagine the problem. Constantine eventually decided that the new Christian belief could be the solution to the conflicting situation. In fact, he decided to amalgamate the two beliefs into one, and to change the polytheistic Paganism which had been the empire's long traditional belief. Only once he had started, there was no way to return. Anyhow, he took some of the most controversial actions recorded in history. He claimed to be ordained to rule by both the Pagan Sun God and the Christian God. While he kept his life long official title as the Supreme Priest of the Pagan God, he also officially converted himself into Christian. Yet, it was also he who had instituted Christian worships into Roman Empire, and built Christian churches by looting from Pagan temples. He then gave the Christian church special privileges and authority, which would later evolve to become more powerful than European monarchs. He claimed to have been "sent by God (Christian) to suppress the impiety". Yet he would use the age old and deeply rooted Pagan traditions and convert them into the new Christianity in syncretism. For instance, the great festivities of December 25th, which traditionally celebrated the birthday of Pagan sun god Mithra, was officially adopted into Christianity, and renamed "Christmas", the birthday of Jesus. So, whatever he could not remove from Pagan worship, it would later be converted into Christian worship. In fact what he had done was to simply kept the essence and core of Pagan worship and gave them the new identity of Christianity. In that way he unified the two conflicting worships into Christianity and allowed Paganism to remain in the heart of the worship, yet in meantime, to disappear mysteriously.  

In that conflicting time, Constantine relocate his imperial seat and himself to the safety of the more Christian but far away Eastern Empire's Byzantium, where he began to build his new capital and renamed it Constantinople (originally belonged to ancient Greece, today it is Istanbul of  Turkey), leaving Rome, or the Western Roman Empire in its wake of slow but thorough redefinition of religious conversion. As once he embarked on the road of such massive change, there was no way for him to return, and since ancient rulers were supposed to be given power by gods, divine will was the major source of authority that an emperor depended upon to rule, the conversion must have been more difficult and complex than words could explain, as a result much historical details of such conversion have become obscured today. Emperor Constantine on the one hand claimed to be a Christian, and on the other retained his title as "Pontifex Maximus", which was the High Priest of the Pagan religion, which is still used in Christianity today. Also after he was baptized as a Christian, he changed the Christian observance of Sabbath day, or Saturday (One of Ten Commandments), into the Pagan day of sun worship, namely Sunday (Pagans worshipped sun), which is also still being observed today as a "holy day". He also replaced the Christian worship of "Passover" with Pagan "Easter", which too is still observed today. But, outwardly he promoted Christianity. In his last years of life, he stepped up the efforts. Many Pagan temples were emptied, or destroyed, or replaced with Christian churches. Constantine therefore single handedly and forcibly merged the two religions and called it Christianity. He then empowered Christian church such privileges and authorities that would later enable the church to evolve into an absolute political power, and ruled above all European monarchs with its own army and navy. In fact the whole Europeans civilization was put into a Dark Age that lasted until the Renaissance. None believers were called heretics. Only 400 years ago heretics were still burnt alive in public. 

Much of the historical details during the transformation of Paganism to Christianity had been obscured since the days of Emperor Constantine. Something secret or unspeakable have had come to pass during those days that defies logics, for instance, Jesus was trial, judged, condemned for blasphemy against God and put to death under Roman imperial law for claiming to be the Son of God. Of course God never agreed, so in fact Jesus' crime of blasphemy still stands today. And yet it turned out that in the end Jesus became the official idol of worship of the Roman Empire as their Son of God, and Paganism simply mysteriously disappeared in name although the Biblical story of Jesus coincides with the description of life story of Mithras, the Pagan sun god... In fact, in recent years a great deal of new information have come to the surface that portray Jesus as none other than one of the ancient mythological gods similar to those in Egypt, Greece, Persia and India. All of such descriptions are historical records, which without doubt will continue to come to light from Indian and Middle Eastern histories, despite the recent collective efforts to prove that Jesus and Christian Bible are real... So, the mystery is getting more intriguing and attracting more attention each day... So, please read on.... In the following paragraphs I shall try to relate the history in some details...  

Note:- As already said, much of history and background of the rise of Christianity had been obscured or disputed. Yet in view of the extent of mystery and deliberation, it is quite obvious. However today, it is only possible to put together the bits and pieces of historical information in order to understand the true picture. Constantine's withdrawal to Byzantium was for reasons as described above and not for strategic purpose, as some scholars portray it to be, because Rome in those years was still in chaotic shape and to build a second Rome in Byzantium was a huge project, which Rome could ill afford after centuries of chaos and anarchic conditions. Constantine had to loot from Pagan temples to pay for some constructions of Constantinople. Besides, there was no urgency or immediate strategic compulsion at the time to move the Roman capital, especially to a conquered hostile land that had different language and culture. Constantine was a ruthless emperor and his time was incredibly treacherous, cruel and dangerous. 

In ancient times winners of wars would usually claim to be supported or inspired by Gods. Divine power was therefore the super natural force that was effectively used to rule the simple minded common folks and also energized many wars and conquests through out history, even in this modern age of science, soldiers would be charged up with prayers and priestly sermons before going to battle. This is the secret that hugely differentiate the use of religion in the West and in the East...  In those long days of strife and chaos, which had led to total anarchy in Roman Empire during the early centuries, all the more the imperial authority had to depend on divine power. This was what eventually made church more powerful than monarchs. Although religion helped to conquer, it also forced Europe into more than 1500 years of darkened and oppressed civilization. Military conquests, religious wars and religious injustices during the medieval Dark Ages cost untold loss of life and sufferings...     

 

Let's look quickly into the time of Emperor Constantine. It was said that Constantine claimed to have two godly visions, the first one was a Pagan vision, which occurred when he was a votary (devoted worshiper) of the Sun God at the Pagan Grand Temple of the Sun.  In fact he proclaimed the Sun as his Comrade, for which he cast his commitment to the "Invincible Sun" in his nation wide coinage and devoted himself to that cult. So his claim and his image became a permanent record, because once those coins were issued, they went through the entire empire, which covered a huge area from Europe, Middle East, all the ways to Africa. And yet at the same time he claimed to have become a Christian. In fact he claimed to have also a Christian vision. The Christian vision was said to have occurred during battle with his brother-in-law Maxentius. Constantine claimed that he saw a cross in the sky (see picture below, the light reflections of stars or cosmic objects.).. [Note:- Another version written by Christian apologist Lactantius described that the vision was a dream. Lactantius was the teacher of Constantine's eldest son Crispus. One more version described that he saw in sky a Christian monogram with words on it]... He then painted the shields of his troops with a Christian monogram and won the battle (the image on the lower right is almost a Christian monogram). So he claimed to have a special relationship with the Christian God, who had sent him "to suppress the impiety". Thus both claims of support from Pagan and from Christian Gods were to become records of history. Amazing! 

 

Yet those were the days. In early history, references to multiple gods were not uncommon. It would appear gods were jealous of each other, as the Ten Commandment stipulates " You shall not have other gods before me... for I, the lord your God, am a jealous God...". Such statement clearly shows that Jewish God admitted there were more gods than one. That was obvious, because Moses had just led the Jews out of Egypt where only multiple gods were worshipped. But this God was not yet Christian God. This was just the God of  Judaism because the Jews never took up the worship of Christianity, not even today. In Moses days, heaven and earth was crowded with all sorts of gods. History shows that only some 1700 years later, Emperor Constantine made this Jewish God also Roman Christian God, and then slowly all other gods were made to disappear in the Christian universe. The enforcement of this single God would become so strong and oppressive that drove the entire European civilization into darkness, called the Dark Age, that lasted well over one millennium in total. 

 

At the time of Constantine, Roman Empire having undergone a century of anarchy, was very treacherous indeed. Because traditionally, the Roman worship was Paganism, now the invasion of the new cult of Christianity from the eastern region added more havoc to the anarchic conditions. In that havoc some of the most strange things happened that would be completely obscured by history till this day. Firstly, neither in the records of civil history nor in religious history God had ever agreed or accepted that Jesus was his son. In fact, Jesus was condemned to death because of such blasphemous claims, yet without God's permission Jesus was worshipped as God's only son. This would mean that not only the crime of blasphemy was never exonerated, but it has been passed onto all followers. There seems to be a serious conflict somewhere. Secondly, the Biblical story of Jesus' life was in fact also the life story of Mithra, the very idol of Sun God, worshipped by the Roman Pagans at the time. How did Roman imperial power manage to succeed enforcing the change from the idol of Mithra to the idol of Jesus, and from a polytheistic religion to a monotheistic religion, and yet keeping the same essential contents or the same story for both religions and both idols of worship? Was that why oppressive Dark Age had resulted. However, we will come back to this later. Now let me continue with Roman history.            

 

A soldier of humble origin, Diocletian, supported by his close friends and troops, rose to power and proclaimed himself emperor. Emperor Diocletian barely refounded the scattered empire. He split the empire into West and East Empires, and made his trusted friend and colleague Maximian as the emperor of Eastern Empire. He also created a joint emperor or deputy emperor in both Eastern and Western empire, and therefore shared power with his comrades... Any way, according to some sources Diocletian had decided that it was impossible to rule unless the invading Christianity was eradicated, especially since Christianity was a foreign cult. So he inflicted dreadful persecutions on the Christians in his attempt to wipe them out, but he failed.  He had only succeeded in inflaming resistance and created waves of Christian martyrs (a phenomenon often occurs when religions are threatened). However, Diocletian was smart. He knew things were getting out of hand and decided to retire. So he built himself a nice palace and abdicated to live in peace. He also advised and forced his close comrade Maximian to abdicate with him, but Maximian restored his title briefly to make his own son Maxentius deputy emperor. It's a long story. The following shows briefly what the time was like. 

 

Emperor Constantine was the emperor who had caused all the change of worship referred to above. Constantine was the eldest son of  Deputy Emperor Constantius and his first wife Helena. Let's go over the story quickly. History relates that Constantius divorced Helena to marry emperor Maximian's step daughter Theordora. Maximian (a trusted personal friend of Emperor Diocretian) then helped Constantius to become a deputy emperor. Upon Constantius' death, his son Constantine also married one of Maximian's daughter Fausta as his second wife and so Maximiam legitimated and recognized Constantine's claim to succeed his father's title ( in those days titles were not hereditary). Thus both father Constantius and son Constantine were sons-in-law of Maximian. They were both made deputy emperors by Maximiam.. Maximian's own son Maxentius was also supported by Maximian to become a deputy emperor. However, here history became largely obscured, because later some strong disagreements aroused that caused young Maxentius to reject his own retired father. Old man Maximian then went to join son-in-law Constantine, who had by then become powerful. But somehow two men also turned against each other, so strongly that Maximian was killed or ordered by Constantine to commit suicide. Thus Constantine killed his father-in-law who not only put him and his own father in power, but also made them emperors and close relatives... Then the two brothers-in-law Maxentius and Constantine ended up in battles, this was when Constantine had the highly aclaimed Christian vision and Maxentius was killed in defeat... Then later on, Constantine had his wife Fausta, sister of Maxentius, also slain. And again, in another part of the story, emperor Constantine's sister Constantia was married to Lichinius, also a deputy emperor, who was also killed by Constantine in battle, aided by Constantine's son Crispus.

 

Constatine I had 4 sons, Crispus, Constantius (Junior), Constantine (Junior) and Constans. For some reason Constantine had his own eldest son Crispus, by his first wife, also slain. By that time Crispus was already made a deputy emperor and had won some important battles for his father. After killing Crispus, Constantine promoted his 3rd son Constantine (Junior), who later succeeded his father as emperor Constantine II. As soon as Constantine II ascended the throne he tried to control his own bother Constans who refused. So the two brother also ended up in battle, in which Constantine II was killed.  To cut the story short, after Constantine's death, the rest of his 4 sons eventually were all killed in power struggles... Since Constantine's wife, all his children and relatives were killed in that historic time when religious belief was a vital ingredient in the rule of land, and Paganism and Christianity were locked in battle for survival. It would appear that nothing else could have caused the terrible bloodshed between family members, and it's reasonable to deduce that Constantine's decisions to replace Paganism with Christianity had brought the family nothing but a colossal tragic fate... Anyway, after Christianity became well established, Constantine was hailed as Constantine, the Great, and his mother, who was hinter reason behind Constantine's actions, was made Saint Helen in Christianity. 

 

As already said, a great deal of historical account regarding Constantine's decision to kill his father-in-law Maximian, his own wife and his first born son Crispus had been obscured. Normally it would be difficult to imagine why Constantine should kill his own wife, son, his closest family with such extreme loyal family bond and such most trusted political allies who had already put him in power, and would continue to help his rule of the empire. It's even more unusual, especially Maximian not only had put Constantine but also his father both in the throne and gave them his daughters. And Crispus also had won a few important battles for his father. Therefore, the reason was clearly not political or personal but it had to do with something totally confusing but extreme that was going on at the time, something that had to do with the pro and anti forces during the conversion of religions. All these tragic records of history high lighted the unnatural birth of Christianity and intrigues about the existence of Jesus. But this is not all, Christianity went on to become the ruling absolute political power in Europe, and despite the unforgettable Dark Age, it had conquered the mind and heart of Europe till today.   

 

Imagine such was the time and birth of Christianity, and such was the man, Constantine I, who had single handedly installed Christianity to power, then gave it authority and special privileges. These privileges would later evolve to rule above all authorities of European monarchs and plunged Europe into centuries of Dark Age. How can such a killer of own wife, son and the close relatives who had helped him to success be truly religious? This was a ruler who believed in nothing. He did not believe even the fatherly senior emperor who had made his father and himself emperor, gave them his daughters. He also did not believe his wife, his eldest son, his brothers-in-law both from his wife's side and his sister's side. Because if he could believe, he would not have killed each and every one of them. And how could he possibly have been inspired with two godly visions, one by Pagan plural gods and the other by the singular Christian God? Especially he had already committed himself for good as Sun god's comrade by casting it on his coinage. These two sets of Gods could never have both existed in any same reality. But, this is the same religion that relentlessly wants to conquer the rest of mankind... 

 

The mystery deepens when some historical facts are brought in for examination. Firstly, on March 7th 321 AD, shortly before killing his wife and eldest son, Constantine the Great ( although nothing great about this person at all ) proclaimed a new law that would change the Christian observance of Sabbath, which was originally Saturday ( the day of Saturn or the 7th day ) to Sunday ( the day of Sun or the 1st day ), which was the day of worship in Pagan religion. Secondly, 4 years later in 325 AD, still under the reign of Constantine (who died in May 337 AD ), the original Christian Feast of Passover was officially replaced by Pagan festival of Easter, which was a ritual worship of Sun goddess. Thirdly, after he had converted to Christianity he continued to hold the title "Pontifex Maximus", which was the office or title for High Priest in Paganism. Fourthly, in AD 350 Constantine officially adopted Pagan Sun God Mithra's birthday Dec 25th to be the birthday of Jesus. All above practices are still observed by the Christians today.  Fifthly, after Constantine had claimed to be a Christian, he cast the coin with inscription "Sol Invicto Comiti", meaning "I am committed to the Invincible Sun". But there are lots more, which I shall relate later on...   

 

These records reveal that Constantine's conversion from Paganism to Christianity involved huge contradictions. In fact, it turned out to be a syncretism of the two worships, just as Paganism whose main god, the Sun god or Mithra, was evolved directly from the ancient Persian or Iranian god Mithras. By combining the two worships and adopting the ritual feasts of Paganism, Constantine had merely change the name from Paganism to Christianity, thereby affording Paganism to disappear mysteriously from history. Perhaps because of the tragic conflict and bloodshed in Constantine's family, he and his mother Helen had become so hardened that they decided to merge the two religions and call the product Christianity. Such would be the need in a time of violent confusion and anarchy during the 2nd to 4tth century, and in a society where religious forces regulated and governed human actions. But why Jesus, the human figure, had so many similarities with the descriptions of ancient pure mythological deities? And how did he evolve to become the center of worship, since he was judged and punished for claiming to be Son of God, and God had never agreed. There seems to be total lack of authentic historical explanation describing the transformation...  

Note: Many early historical religious deities had profound similarities, for instance, Apollo, Hercules, Zeus, Prometheus of Greece, Buddha, Krishna (or Christna), Indra of India, Hesus of Druids, Horus, Osiris of Egypt, Tammuz of Syria, and many more, especially Mithra of Persia, the bull slaying soldiers' god. Some of these mythological gods were born of Virgin Mother, in a stable and witnessed by 3 wise men or Magi from the East on Dec 25th. Some of these deities died or crucified on the Cross and resurrected from dead then ascended to Heaven. Some of them had 12 disciples and had a Last Supper. Many were born to be the Messiah. They are more or less all called the Teacher, the Master, the Truth, the Lord, the Light, the Life, the Saviour, the Shepherd, the Redeemer, and the Son of God. Many of them were seen to have walked on water and performed miracles. Most of them have something to do with the Cross, etc, etc... There are also parallel stories of Christmas and Easter... 

 

[Note:- In recent years many scholars and historians have become interested in digging out the early Christian history and development. As a result more and more revelations are coming forth from the Indian and Middle Eastern historical sources, but it's barely the very beginning of such intriguing discoveries and revelations. They are becoming more and more fascinating each day because of their great influence to the past and present human belief. Meanwhile there are also great efforts using modern science trying to sustain the histories of those supernatural beliefs...

 

However, there is nothing "Holly" or "Devine" or "Godly" about the "Cross". In the simple science of mutual induction between electricity and magnetism, if an electric charge is set to motion or accelerate, it will induce a magnetic moment at 90º. As the motion continues, then magnetic moment will also induce back an electric charge also at 90º. The repeat of electromagnetic induction always at 90º forms Cross of light. This principle is used to drive an electric motor by giving it electric current, which produces turning moment of magnetic force. This is called the Lenz Law. The solar system is an electric system (atoms contain electrons and protons), which produces a slowly rotating magnetic field. When viewed from earth this rotating magnetic field may appear as a Cross of light, or a 6 spike star, or a 12 equal division called the "Zodiac". It all depends the angle of reflection and atmospheric interference. The light of the Cross is more concentrated, therefore stronger. Many ancient mythological religions worshipped the Cross, and the Zodiac symbolized the 12 disciples. Such religions were mainly sun worshippers, and in time the homage evolved slightly in different cultures. 

 

However as religion was a deeply rooted force that once controlled the early human mind, in fact it had once become the rule of land, it is not surprising and quite understandable that in ancient Rome a political religion related to the worship of sun or Paganism would be needed to centralized the various traditions and cults in that vast empire... But Roman empire was dead and buried long ago and we are now living in space age. In fact, humans are traveling in the heavens these days. In my mind religions are fine and belief in after life is welcome, the danger arises only when a religious energy is used for political ends and turns into a relentless ideological or military force. Such religion then tries to control the mind of believers by controlling the appointment of leading priests. Because the practice of repeated Sunday congregation, and the conducted or guided prayers are extremely powerful psychological tools and influence on the mass. For instance, in time of national crisis, say in times of war, a priest may conduct a mass prayer for peace, and hence restrain emotion and actions. Alternatively, the same priest may guide you to pray for courage, or promise of everlasting life, or sing a marching hymn, which would lead you to fight and die. It all depends on what the priest might do, and who controls the priest, or how willing a priest wants to be controlled. 

 

All of this is because conducted mass meetings or guided prayers is a powerful and persuasive psychological tool, and a trained priest knows how to use it. After 2000 years of preaching experiences, there are naturally plenty of ways, techniques, references and records for use to train a priest. And a trained priest knows exactly how to use them to preach and guide a congregation. Human emotions and passions are infectious, contagious and transferable, Hitler used to work himself up to a screaming pitch and listeners followed him to make many wars (now scientists have found that even chimps can do that). Even church followers are initiated into faithful memberships by sworn oath and by ritual of baptism, naturally such requirements for a priesthood would be much more strict, stringent and binding. In the recent years some over 200 priests had been condemned with sexual offense. They had all been fined with money but not dismissed... In fact, no priests had ever gone to jail in the entire history. There is an enormous amount of tightly controlled secrets involved. That's why after centuries or millenniums of years, the masses of believers, even scholars, are still unaware of the proper history and development of their churches, or of what they are told to believe? 

 

There has been a big fight going on historically between religious authorities and national authorities for the appointment of priests or the control of the organization, resulting in many religious sets breaking away from control of Vatican. A foreign controlled congregation could act as political Trojan Horse, especially when followers are initiated by sworn oath or baptism. One and a half centuries ago, a Christian revolt lasted 16 years and cost millions of Chinese lives... The influence of a congregation makes it difficult not to join mass action, especially for inexperienced youthful believers. When a super natural belief takes hold of the human mind, the result is always extreme passion and fanaticism. Because there is no logic in belief, therefore anything is possible! In some churches, during mass praying sections, followers are repeatedly excited and induced to tears. They would cry out loud together in emotions for their Lord and Master. In extreme cases, now and then a whole congregation would commit mass suicide. This is because conducted or guided prayer is such a massive, infectious and persuasive force in the sub-conscience. It is something to watch out in the age of nuclear weapons. 

 

However, not all religions practice guided prayers or conducted belief. The Chinese ancestral worship and the Chinese version of Buddhism are individually and privately motivated spiritual beliefs. Through personal meditation or ancestral love and family education they search to reach inner harmony with divine nature, or peace and perfection of ones own soul. Believers are not congregated in weekly meetings. There are no priests to guide your prayers or your belief. And they had never been used by politicians for power politics, riots, mass demonstrations or wars, at least never in China. When there is no party politics to grab power or no leaders to arouse mass emotions, how can there be unrests and bloodshed? When religions teach search for inner perfection, how can a society not be peaceful and harmonious? Although the Chinese had never conquered any lands, they also had never conquered themselves through irrational beliefs. Theirs is the age old legacy of ancestral worship, Chinese Buddhism and Confucian philosophy. 

 

[Note:- It is a pity, recently a couple of politicians in Taiwan have taken up new influences and strange motivations, as a result, there is not a single day of peace and harmony in that island these days. It appears that those totally irresponsible politicians are leading or forcing not only the gentle natured, tradition loving, wonderful people of Taiwan to a disastrous future, but also to the politicians' own personal tragedy. Towards the end of Feb 2007 Taiwan people woke up one morning to find that their school text book of Chinese history has been altered without prior and proper permission from the people. The present leader in Taiwan is so blinded by record breaking corruptions before the whole world that he cannot see straight any more. Perhaps he thinks his foreign friends could help him, but he is about to get a huge surprise soon. Even the oldest and biggest crooks in Taiwan are beginning to realize that. There is not a slightest doubt about it!.. ]

There is also a common stem that comes from the mythological worship of the Sun's daily setting and rising, as the cross symbolizes the sun  (hence crucifixion on cross, resurrection), the 12 Zodiacal Mansions (12 disciples or followers), the Ecliptic and Celestial Equator (also the Cross), the Light, Truth (righteousness) and the life giver (depiction of Sun), the Son (Sun) of God, the Virgin (symbol of purity, un-worldliness, the original or ancient beginning of the Zodiac, Virgo), the walking on water (Sun's reflection or rays over water), Dec 25th (3  days after Winter Solstice gives new Sun), Mar 21st (Spring Equinox or Easter gives Resurrection), etc, etc.. These phenomena all describe the Sun. Many scholars and historians maintain that Jesus, the man, never existed. He is but a concocted mythological existence (or an improved version of ) just like many of the mythological deities created in various ancient cultures. It makes good sense, if one examines the strong and numerous similarities between the different deities as well as the mythological details of their birth and life against the actual historical records of Jesus. It's also quite impossible that Jesus, the human, should have similar legendary story as those mythological deities that predated Jesus by many centuries. The life story of Jesus is practically the same as the legendary sun god Mithra who was the most popular Pagan sun god of Roman Empire at the time of conversion to Christianity.

 

I have barely touched the surface here. There are many books on this subject of similarity between Jesus and above said mythological deities, i.e. books like " The Origins of Christianity and quest for Historical Jesus Christ", "Christ conspiracy, the greatest story ever sold", "Suns of God, Krishna, Buddha and Christ unveiled", by Acharyas S. etc,... There are many older book-form encyclopedias and books describing the life of the above mythological deities, also web-sites and web encyclopedias, such as "en.Wikipedia.org", " toolong.com", "truthbeknown.com", to name just a few, but there are lots more. Gradually new publications on history of religions in different ancient cultures are revealing close similarity in their stem and creation. They would undoubtedly change the entire belief in the belief of religious stories in the coming decades.  The life stories of all the mentioned historic deities are very interesting. They also show the correlation and evolution of religions in the East, Middle East and Europe..    

Now, let's go back to Paganism. The Roman Pagan worship that flourished during the 1st to 5th century in Europe and the whole of Roman Empire was the direct adaptation the Persian (or Iranian) religion. The central figure was the sun god, Mithra. He was the god of heavenly light, all-seeing, the guardian of oath, protector of the righteous in this world and the next. And above all, as arch-foe of the powers of evil and darkness, he slays the sacred bull.  Therefore he was also the god of battles or wars, which was probably why emperor Constantine and Crusaders had marked their soldiers' shields with a cross. It also reminds us of the song "Onward Christian soldiers...", the Crusaders, etc...  The belief was strengthened by Christian success in Southern America, and other colonies. But the real nature of Mithra was and still is hidden behind the human image of Jesus.

The following is the brief account of Mithra's mythological legend. "The similarities between Jesus and Mithras are many. Mithras was born on December 25th of virgin birth, the son of the primary Persian deity, Ahura-Mazda. His birth was witnessed by shepherds and magi. He was reputed to have raised from the dead, healed the sick and cast out demons. He had a Lord's Supper. His day of worship was Sunday. He was killed and resurrected, returned to heaven on the spring equinox after a last meal with his 12 disciples (representing the signs of the zodiac), eating "mizd" - a piece of bread marked with a cross (an almost universal symbol of the sun). The Mithraic cult peaked around the year 300 AD when it became the official religion of the Roman empire. At that time, in every town and city, in every military garrison and outpost from Syria to the Scottish frontier, was to be found a Mithraeum and officiating priests of the cult. This is not to suggest that the Mithraic cult was the only factor in this syncretization, many pagan gods had similar aspects of mythology (e.g. resurrection, virgin mother etc)..."...  The above description could easily be from the Internet in the first half of 2006 and before. Now it is advisable for readers to buy one of the many books on Mithra's life. I would recommend one of the books by Acharyas S.

 

This historic Mithra cult was exclusively for the male, fighters and soldiers, even bandits in secrecy. Females are not allowed. The committed or initiated members must under go various degrees and ordeals of intensive ritual initiation, such as purification, including baptism, according to different levels of ranks. The mark of ranks would be painted on the forehead of the initiated to mark him henceforth as a recruit in the army of Mithra, sworn to combat the enemy or the evil. At the head of each group was a Pater (Father) or a priest, and at each large center or organization was a Pater Patrum, a leader or a bishop. During the rituals of worship the devoted would wear the mark of his rank on the forehead and a cross will be painted on the forehead of the leading priest. The slaying of the bull was a central theme in Pagan chapels, called the "spelaea" (grottoes), which were often caves or underground crypts.

 

The scene of Mithra slaying bull was the crowning episode in the Mithraic myth and in its rituals. The scene normally included a scorpion attacking the genitals of the bull, a serpent drinking its blood and a dog springing towards the wound in its side. Sun-god raven, lion and ewer were some times added, depicting the attack on the enemy or victim by the allies in coalition, using any means available. And framing the scene was the signs of Zodiac... Although Mathraism was the main worship, it never became officially the cult of Roman Empire, big and small groups were controlled in private hands. The above description fits well the structure of some secret societies and sets. Paganism are still worshipped today by some. It's also obvious that some such secret worships or secret societies and brotherhoods exist today, which are direct legacies of the ancient past, believing that the invincible Sun god would give them powers to conquer and win wars. Emperor Constantine never lost a war, but practically all his conquests and victories were the lives of his relatives and his own family...

 

Emperor Constantine's blending Paganism with Christianity left many other traces showing that it was no coincidence, nor just a passing event. For instance, in the early images of Jesus and disciples, even the angels, a halo (or Sun) would be seen on their heads, but Jesus alone would have a halo and a cross on his head (the High Priest or leading priest of Paganism worn a cross on his forehead).

This cross would disappear during Renaissance, roughly sometime in Leonardo da Vinci's life time (1452-1519). On the left is an early painting by Michelangelo (1475-1564), in which a cross was still painted inside the halo on Jesus' head.  This picture depicts Jesus as the source of blinding light (the sun)  The apostles in front are using their hands to block the blinding light. The halo and the cross were discontinued in Leonardo da Vinci's "Last Supper" (painted 1495-1498) and Michelangelo's "Creation of Adam" (painted 1508-1512) of the "Sistine Ceiling".

Later, after the halos had disappeared, a much more realistic or earthly looking thorn crown (symbolic rays) is often seen in its place. The scorching and blinding power of Light God (Sun) that won wars, made conquests and burned heretics alive had been transformed to be a figure of sympathy. The knife wielding bull slaying image of soldiers' God (Mithra) has become the sacrificial lamb. But not quite! A sacrificial lamb and a Savior would not have allowed such deeds as "Spanish Inquisition", or burning heretics alive, not even Christian Crusades, or in colonial conquests, or wars and conquests of any kind, which have plagued the human world and Christian history for the last two thousand years.... So what is really behind such worship where layers upon layers of undeclared secrets are stacked?...

 

The following black and white graphic shows the inside of Pantheon now standing in Rome. Pagan religion flourished in the first 5 centuries CE all over Europe and through out the Roman Empire. The Roman Pantheon was built between 27 BC and 128 AD and was the main place of worship for Paganism. The main body of the temple is a drum shape on top, which is a dome depicting the sun. At the center of the dome is a round hole, called the "eye" or "Oculus", as shown on the right..  Sunshine could come through this oculus to be worshipped (seen on the left), but also could the rains.

However, this hole or the eye would be capped by a tower like building on all later Cathedral or church domes, which serves to stop the rains from pouring through, but it also serves to conceal the oculus when viewed from outside or at a distance. Thus all churches and cathedrals with a dome are in fact structurally Pantheon like buildings capped with a  tower, which conceals the oculus, while the sun shine can still come through.

The Pantheon in Rome was the first building with a dome that would become churches, even parliamentary buildings all over the world, symbolize a structure of power and authority (the Sun), and not the pitifully crucified sacrificial lamb...

Therefore all this type of Cathedral or church with a dome capped by a super structure all over the world, in effect, conceals a Pagan temple within it.  Even the Gothic style churches or Cathedrals with sharp structures pointing skywards symbolize rising sun rays from the building. All these above show emperor Constantine had effectively taken practically all the essential worship of Paganism and called it Christianity, which would pass on until today.. That's why he retained his office of "Pontifex Maximus", the High Priest of Paganism, even while he claimed to be a Christian. This further indicates why the story of Jesus is practically the story of Pagan god Mithra. And why Mithra's birthday (Dec 25th) was officially adopted to become the Nativity of Jesus, the Christmas, and why the Jewish Passover was changed (in Constantine's life time, decreed at the Nicaeaen council of 325 AD) to be the Easter, because history records that spring festivals in honour of Pagan fertility goddesses and the events associated with them were celebrated at the time of Easter...  And the story of the Bible was written, telling the same single story as the mythological tale of Pagan Sun God, Mithra, who is seen slaying the sacred bull above... 

 

However, the entire secret behind lies in the true identity and influence of Constantine's birth mother, Saint Helen, or Helena, who was a Jew, which would have made Constantine half a Jew, that would explain quite a few mysteries. The story was extremely intriguing and highly obscured, but let's make it brief... To start with, after a whole century of anarchy, and in the confusion, the power of Roman Empire fell into the hands of four soldiers and close friends who conspired to assassin their military boss to acquire power under the leadership of Diocletian and Maximian. Historically Diocletian is credited with the terrible persecution of Jews by throwing the Christian Jews to the lions in Colosseum. So naturally his deputy Maximian had helped. During this period Constantine's father Constantius divorced Helena to marry Maximian's daughter Theordora in order to reinforce power. This indicates that Maximian was instrumental to the divorce Helena. Then, unexpectedly Constantius scored a big military success in Britain by putting down the Saxon pirate Carausius and became a power to be reckoned with. But soon Constantius died in Britain and his power was passed to son Constantine. However Constantine's succession of power was only legitimized with the help from Maximian who also gave Constantine with his daughter Fausta in marriage. However when Constantine gained power over Roman Empire, a series of most unusual things began too happen, indicating that influence had come from his mother Helena. 

 

Firstly Diocletian stopped persecution of Jews and was forced to retire, as otherwise an Emperor would never retire. He also made Maximian to retire with him, but Maximian did reinstall himself briefly just to make his own son Maxentius a Deputy Emperor. Maxentius then disagreed with his father and went to war with Constantine. In this battle the Cross was first established as the Christian symbol. It was Helena who was said to have found in Jerusalem the remnant of the Cross upon which Jesus was crucified, yet from Vedic India to Middle East many ancient Gods were crucified on the Cross as well. Eventually Maximian, Maxentius and Fausta, together with other relatives, even Constantine's own son Crispus, were all killed by Constantine. How could such an extreme fate have taken place? Behind the huge tragic intrigue appears to lie causes, which included:- 1) the tumulus and anarchic conditions of Roman Empire at the time, 2) the extreme persecution of Jews, 3) the divorce of Jewish Helena, 4) the marriage of Maxentius' daughter Fausta, 5) the consequential violence between relatives of divorced and replaced marriages, 6) the sudden rise to power and absolute military rule of a Roman Emperor with a controversial birth identity and past, 7) the violent disputes caused by changing Roman tradition of religious beliefs, and above all, 8) the will, hatred and final revenge of a divorced mother. However, because Constantine was also half a Roman (from his father's side) as well, so he retained his identity of Roman Pagan high priesthood, "Pontifex Maximus" or just Pontiff till the end of his life. The net result of all was a family blood bath the merger of two religious identities by force. The controversial momentum continued to cause the collapse of Roman Empire as well as other long term consequences.

These churches are indeed enormous and magnificent historic monuments. Some of them took more than half a millennium to build and complete. These tremendous churches are also the monuments and relics of untold human efforts of the entire countries and people of Europe during those long centuries of absolute rule under religious canon. In fact, only a few short decades ago, in the 20th century, people in Germany were still paying the Church Tax (Kirchen Steuer) from their incomes. Of course, no ordinary person brought up and baptized since childhood would want to run the risk of being excommunicated by the authorities of the Almighty God. Imagine the riches and the powerful hold on people religion once had, which have become the memory of the past.!   

 

Having observed hitherto the history of early Christianity, we have enough information to make a small summary at this junction. Firstly, after conversion to Christianity emperor Constantine still retained his title and office of Pontifex Maximus, the High Priest of Pagan worship. This title was used in Pagan worship centuries before Christianity (since the Republican days). Yet even today the church still call the priest as "Father" (a Pagan legacy, originally "Pater") and the present day Pope as Pontifex or Pontiff or Pontifex Maxmus (Supreme Pontiff), which is exactly the same as was in Pagan Worship. Secondly, in 325 AD under Constantine's reign (he died in 337 AD) the Christian Sabbath day (Saturday, the original 7th day of Creation, the day of worship, as in Christian Ten Commandment) was officially changed to Sunday (the original 1st day of Creation, or the Sun's day, which was Pagans' day of worshipping the sun). Thirdly, same year 325 AD, the Christian or Jewish festivity of Passover was officially replaced by Pagan worship of Easter. Fourthly,  as seen above, the halo and cross on Jesus' head disappeared only during Renaissance (see above). Fifthly, in 350 AD Sun god Mithra's birthday was officially adopted as Jesus' birthday, the Christmas. Sixthly, Jesus' life story is equivalent to Mithra's life story, i.e. born of virgin mother, born in stable, witnessed by 3 wise men of the East, 12 disciples, Last Supper, crucifixion, resurrection, etc., etc.. Seventhly, Pagan baptism, including drawing a watery cross on the forehead was adopted. Eighthly, the Cathedrals concealed a  Pagan temple within... These are the main historical facts, which show that they are no coincidences, nor pure accidents, but deliberate official acts, intended to retain Pagan worship, even to replace Christian worship with Pagan worship, even centuries after conversion to Christianity. Such official decreed have been passed down the years ever since the Roman time, showing that the title and structural office of Supreme Pontiff and priests, the main substance (the Biblical life story), the format of worship, the religious festivities, the image itself, even the temple of worship all retain the essence of Paganism. Practically all the Pagan essence are kept intact except the name.

 

In a nut shell, we can now deduce from above historical facts that although Roman Pagan religion had quietly and mysteriously slipped out of history, it was in fact deliberately rearranged to live in concealment within the newly adopted Christianity. The decision to amalgamate the two worships probably served the purpose during Constantine's time. Firstly, the Roman Empire had previously conquered huge territories not too long ago under Pagan belief (27 BC - 193 AD), it was necessary to maintain the momentum and influence. Secondly, because of the earlier 500 years of long striving political life under the Roman Republic (509 BC -27 AD), it was more than difficult for emperors to consolidate imperial rule (Emperor Nero, Empire Domiitianus and Emperor Commodus were all killed). After 192 AD the empire plunged into civil wars and anarchy. By the time of Emperor Diocletian (284 AD) the empire had been undergoing one whole century of anarchy and violent chaos. The conditions were so violent and senseless that emperor Constantine would go to war with close relatives and kill his own wife and son. The resultant imposition of changes into such conditions was to be expected and hardly a big deal. Thirdly, ancient Roman emperor's power and authorities depended essentially on Divine favours or divine support. Two sets of gods would crash into each other violently. It was probably for those reasons that emperor Diocletian decided to divide the Empire into East and West to accommodate two conflicting religions in two domains. Why else should he cut up a perfectly working empire in two parts? He then tried to remove the Christians and Jews from the Western empire by his famous persecution of the Christians, but for some mysterious reasons he got cold feet, and ended up making his close friend and collaborator Maximian to retire with him.  It is also understandable that in those chaotic conditions Emperor Constantine tried to represent both sets of gods by having both Pagan and Christian divine visions in which both sides of gods bestowed him with divine favours and authorities. However, this man who was hailed as Constantine the Great had created an impossible muddle that would later plunge the entire European civilization into centuries of Dark Age.  

Note: Vital historical information had been purposely obscured. For instance, 

(1), How and under what circumstances did new Christianity spread from conquered Israel to Roma Empire, the land of conquerors? Especially since the Jews did not even want the new Christianity for themselves, because the Jews preferred to stick to their own worship of Judaism, then and even now. 

(2), Why didn't the Jews worship Jesus who is said by the Jews to be the only Son of God, the most divine, next only to God?. Indeed why didn't Christianity become the national worship of Jewish people, instead they worshipped Judaism. Didn't they believe in Jesus' claim?  

(3), Who was responsible and how was it organized to spread the worship from Jerusalem to Rome, when it could not even gather force in Israel. So, was it an intended invasion or was it a natural occurrence? 

(4) If it was a natural development, then how did a brand new religion get to adopt or coincide with the very old and well known story of Pagan god Mithra?  

(5), In the 4th century Roman Empire, Pagan worship was at its most powerful historic height through out the entire empire, how was it possible for any new worship to spread in that ancient society predominated by religion, and upon which even imperial authorities depended? 

(6), Above all, how could the Romans possibly worship the human person, Jesus, and his belief that were condemned by the Roman authorities for the crime of blasphemy and executed him with two other criminals. The  Romans knew not only that Jesus was just an ordinary man, they had prosecuted, investigated and condemned him, and historically God has never come to the condemned Jesus' rescue and the verdict was never disputed. 

(7), If God never agreed that Jesus was his son, by what measure and process was the condemned Jesus elevated to the very apex and focus of worship? 

(8), How could the biblical story of Jesus coincide with that of Pagan sun god Mithra so closely, without being questioned or objected by Roman religious groups or authorities? 

(9),  Judging from the extreme cruelty with which Roman authorities persecuted the early Christians, the Romans were clearly in charge, how and why then was the invasion of a brand new foreign religion unsupported by great traditions tolerated by the Romans in the first place? 

(10), How could any nation, or any deeply religious community betray its millennium belief and traditions of polytheism (multi-gods) in exchange for monotheism (single God) in a space of few years? 

(11), How did two religions with almost same story, and same mode of execution but fundamentally different and incompatible in names and in nature (one was monotheistic and another was polytheistic) managed to coexist in the same space and time, even for just a short while? 

(12), Was the insurgence of new religious belief partially or wholly responsible for the chaos and anarchic conditions in Roman Empire from 1st to 4th century AD? 

(13), How and why did emperor Diocletian fail in his plan and attempt to clean up Christians, and was even reduced to abdicate instead? 

(14),  What were the true reasons behind those utterly inhuman and abnormal killings, even wars, between those close relatives and loving members within the family of emperor Constantine?...

(15), History shows that religion was the cause of European Dark Age, the Crusading wars, the burning of heretics, the Spanish Inquisition, etc., etc... In fact, religion suppressed the normal growth of European civilization for about one and half millennium. Injustice had been done in vast scale. People had suffered. Lives had been lost. Huge human resources had been forcibly collected to build and glorify the church (only a few years ago church tax were still prevalent in some European countries).  Why then is it still so vehemently supported to spread through out the world even today, and still with such interests and control in worldly politics?  

 

These and many other vital historical details could not have been lost or destroyed, but no one endeavored or dared to investigate for all those centuries. Don't you think it's about time someone should at least be curious or talk about it?.. And what could the final outcome and future of supernatural belief be, in an age of rapid advance for rationality, logics, science, nuclear energy, space technology and cosmological know-how?

It would appear that even Constantine's declared commitment to two sets of gods could not work for long, eventually there could only be one set of god. So, strong and urgent action had to be taken. And the monotheistic god was preferred in those conditions. So the Roman emperor simply amalgamated the two worships into one, and then promoted the resultant amalgamation as Christianity to keep the growing invasion of Christians happy, and then rearranged the substance, which included centuries of ongoing Pagan traditions and festivities as well as the deeply rooted life story of mythological deity Mithra to allow continuation of the Pagans worship, as it would be impossible to remove and cancel the deep traditions suddenly and totally. This of course was contradictory, but it had to do. However an extremely strong hand was needed to make it work. So he had to compensate the strong contradictions in the new religion by given the church supreme powers, in order to forcibly dictate over any dissents or heretics (which was probably the reasons behind the killings in Emperor Constantine's family). Such extraordinary power would eventually evolve to rule above European monarchs and empower the church to take extreme actions, including burning heretics alive, that lasted some 1500 years. Such measures and energy would forcibly compress religion and politics into a powerful union, and propel Christianity into unusual orbital heights. So even today the contradictory characteristics of two religions are deeply entrenched. This is also one of the three time bombs explained in this page ...  

 

There are still questions though. For instance, how and when did the mystical legend of Mithra become the story of Jesus? We know that the worship of sun god Mithra was still at its height in the 4th century Roman Empire and Europe. It would be impossible to suddenly change the legendary story of Mithra or the traditional force of Roman Pagan worship at its height. In fact, it would be impossible to alter any deeply rooted super natural belief at its height by shear force or by imperial command. Besides, it happened that even Constantine was unwilling to part from it because he maintained his powerful office and title as Pontifex Maximus. Obviously that had been the main source of his imperial authorities. So, could it be the Christians who had adopted the legends of Mithra in the contents of their religion in order to slip in and promulgate it into Roman society during the period of chaotic anarchy? Or were the Christians forced to adopt the legend of Mithra as the life story of Jesus? Perhaps that was possible at the time since Christianity was in its early sprout, while Pagan worship was far too deeply rooted, and Roman imperial command was too strong to object. That's probably also why the Jews preferred to stick to their worship of Judaism. 

 

So, when and how, and under what circumstances exactly were the Gospels actually written?  How could the life story of the man, Jesus, get to tangle, even coincide with that of Pagan sun god Mithra, a typical ancient mythological deity similar to those in Vedic, Greco and Egyptian religions? Since exact historical records had been obscured or destroyed, then did the person Jesus actually exist? If so, then exactly when? And why there are no official records for such an important existence and event in history? And since Jesus was officially condemned to death for blasphemy while claiming to be God's son, and God never came forth to support his claim. In which case, Jesus' crime still stands! Then how, when and why was Jesus elevated to become the central figure of the worship? So many mythological figures and religions with same or similar tales and legends have already faded into the background of history, why alone Jesus persisted with such vigor? Thus layers upon layers of mysteries were stacked up under the extreme oppressive hands of the church, while the religion continue to grow to such colossus status and proportions during the Dark and Medieval ages, while practically all human resources were focused and spent on the church .. At any rate, this was the start of Piscean Age, the age of religion, confusion and intrigues, symbolized by two fishes swimming in opposite directions. I will describe more about this Piscean Age and other ages of Astrology in the page, named The Nuclear Bomb.

Meanwhile, nearly two thousand years have nearly passed and billions upon billions of humans have been told, influenced, convinced, and made to believe, to kneel, to pray, to love, to worship, to be baptized and committed or to submit to the super natural lord and master. People have been burnt alive for not believing the exact guide lines the church has laid down. Precious human blood had flown under the swords of warring Christian Crusaders. From time to time in history, extreme believers have committed group or mass suicide... If the Vatican want to continue exerting authorities and influences over its ministers, subjects and followers, and if the church still wants to continue preaching and describing Jesus as a historical figure and not a fabled mythological deity, the it's time both the church and Vatican should reveal some dependable historical details and proofs. It's time the church should at last unveil to the 1.1 billion Catholic believer the mysteries that tangled Jesus to Mithra? After all, the church alone knows all the history because the history has never been disrupted or destroyed, and the records should remain intact in the church hands. Isn't it also about time the church is made accountable for history and human civilization for all its actions and therefore, all the consequences it has caused (including all the wars it started and the European Dark Age)? Besides, this is the 21st century, the age of logics, rationality, science, and in this highly complex and lawful society of ours there are also increasing demands for legal protection against any crimes of fraudulence and deception in many social and economical interactions, especially in the education of the youth....          

 

In any case, the truth of all these vital part of human history will no doubt be unearthed and verified by historians and archeologists someday. Such revelation is bound to accelerate especially when religion begins to loose its power grip and overwhelming authority. At any rate, judging from the timing of history and the strong similarities of mythological details between Mithra and Jesus, the creation of Jesus was clearly deliberate, a coincidence could hardly be possible. Another thing is, judging from the will and efforts of Roman emperors, and of course the church, to conceal and keep alive the Pagan identity, as shown by facts, as well as the many successful religious conquests that followed, and also judging from the very nature and history of the Mithraian religion, plus the persistent nature of any religious energy, a powerful secret cult of Mithra worship should still be alive and well today. Especially because the tradition of the Mithra cult is private and secretive, and the place of worship is a cave or underground crypt, in fact, the whole combined image answers the descriptions of a secret society or brotherhood almost perfectly. It helps to maintain its secrecy, and also serves the purpose as the worship of soldiers' god. With such a powerful and perfectly concealed identity, history and purpose, it's no wonder there has been so much desire of conquest and continued interests in political control. It's no wonder that many subordinate churches freed themselves from centralized control. At any rate, the above historical records show that certain religious institution has definitely a built in duel nature and therefore concealed identity, even motivations since the days of Roman Empire...

 

(Note:- Leonardo da Vinci is said to have joined a secrete society or secrete cult. He was probably brought into the secrete worship of Mithra, where he was told the truth, which then caused him to leave his message in codes. His enrollment was probably caused by his show of genius in inventing military gadgets that a cult worshiping soldiers' god Mithra would be interested... 

 

Whatever the true background had been, the creation of Christianity by Roman emperor served many purposes. Don't forget the society of the Roman Empire was a blood thirsty and almost inhuman one. Think of the violence of Colosseum! And then that society had already undergone a whole century of lawlessness and anarchy. One whole century of it! Think of how the Empire was split into two and shared by 4 emperors. Think of how Emperor Constantine and his father had married two sisters to get political power, and ended up killing the father-in-law, as well as his own family. In those violent and chaotic conditions, the creation of Christianity probably served to pacify the unstoppable uprising of Jewish martyrdom, which had forced Diocletian to quit and retire. Something extremely urgent had to be done. A new Jewish idol would make great sense, but the story must be conducive to centuries or millenniums of mythological worship across the entire empire. It must also allow the worship of Mithra to be continued without complete and sudden breakdown, otherwise the consequence would be unthinkable! After conferencing with various sectors of power and influence, the birth of Christianity was inevitable. But many believers of tradition could not accept the change. That started the family slaughters...  

By giving the new worship a new name and new identity it invigorated new life to the chaotic Roman society. This it did! But it needed absolute authority to carry out the forced change of worship. This eventually developed into an oppressive society and rule, namely the days of European Medieval Dark Age. In the life time of Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519), Martin Luther (1483-1546) and Michelangelo (1475-1564), from late 15th to early 16th century, the conflicting Roman legacy of such confusing mixture of Pagan Mithra and Jesus images were still clearly evident in the display of worship in churches, and of course in the minds of the intellectuals. Yet, it was also the time when church oppression reached a peak. A tremendous movement of revolt and reformation led by Martin Luther was started, which forced the final retirement of Pagan Mithra from the scene. That change was said to be reported in Leonardo da Vinci's secret codes (but da Vinci Code's author Dan Brown didn't go far enough, so I now continue from there and explain here the background and the reason for da Vinci's code). This time, the absolute, godly, authoritative, lordly, conquering, soldiering, male dominating, bull slaying and war making image of the Saviour of Roman empire was repainted as a sacrificial lamb, a human, an image of compassion, wearing a thorn crown instead of the halo of the mythological Mithraic, the God of Sun... This served the purpose even better! Because now the religion could properly settle into a new and improved secret duel identity... 

 

This time, all efforts were concentrated on boosting the image of Jesus, the man, instead of the divine God, and his headdress, the halo, was stripped. But it was too late to create the link between the identity of man and the God, thus God never had the chance to surfaced to claim Jesus as a son. The reformation was in fact the second forced transformation of identity, which was equally significant (the first being that forcibly introduced by emperor Constantine). This also explains why the Jews did not and still do not worship Jesus, because both transformations took place without Jewish involvement.

( Note:- The first transformation was used to save the Roman Empire from anarchic chaos, hence the ancient title, the "Saviour", but it didn't save it, because the Roman Empire would soon be plundered. The second transformation didn't help either. Martin Luther's Protestant Reformation caused the break up of the Catholic church and the final decline of its supreme rule. The Catholic forces in Spain tried to restore Catholic rule in England, but lost their war called "Spanish Armada".  It also gave rise to English naval power and the British Empire. It appears that a third and probably last transformation is inevitable due to global advance in modern education and the awareness of religious history, plus the conflicting and interfering energy of superstitions in the politics of mass destruction age. In view of its large and persistent strength accumulated over 2000 years, it is one of the nuclear time bombs).     

Above the surface, it can now portray itself as a religion of compassionate cause, and divorce itself from the past cruelties and nature of a military and religious conqueror, as well as its oppressive rules of the Medieval time for which it was responsible. But below the surface, it, after all, still worships the bull slaying warring Pagan Mithra. So, now it can recall historic energies of conquest anytime it likes. This helped all the wars, the colonial conquests and every time a war was, or is, present, because all the rituals, worship and beliefs remain intact. Only its basic nature had never changed. It simply and relentlessly wants to conquer and expand to the whole world. Ideological or religious conquest was, or is, always followed by military solution. And the means are typically those of Mithraic methods, i.e. coalition of partners using any tactics available, as portrayed in the above picture of Mithra, with the dog, the serpent, the lion, the ewer, raven and the scorpion all attacking the bull... The same principles and ambition remain intact.    

 

Now the real test is about to begin! The conquering religious politics or political religions have brought mankind to the age of Nuclear Weapons. Ambitious politicians fanaticized with more conquests and victories are not about to relent. They are reluctant to admit that global warming must depend on globalization of nuclear energy. And all major international wars in the last 500 years were practically all started by the same group of nations under the same basic faith, belief and ambition. War making or aggressive politics has long become the preoccupation of some politicians and some political cultures. But now what to do? Because every further aggression or invasion, be it military or ideological, be it political or religious, will and must bring mankind steps closer to that almost inevitable nuclear confrontation. The next world war can only be a nuclear world war! 

It should be understood that religion is a deep and serious spiritual pursuit that aged or advanced people need to comprehend the purpose of life and how to seek meaningful extension of the physical life through those purposes. It is also a purely individual matter of the soul that each human seeks to link his identity with his origin or his creator, be it nature or ancestor. It is far from being a wholesale commodity to be advertised in TV, street corners, or roof tops, or used as party going gimmicks to lure the innocent youths to be sworn and committed, then turn them into votes or political capitals. That would be a sin in the eyes of proper religious principles. Religions can be so dangerous that once it demanded massive human sacrifices. Some of the biggest wars and cruelest religious deeds in history as well as senseless group suicides were caused by ominous religious belief.. Emperor Constantine was tinkling with religion when he killed all his supporting and loving family. A couple of million souls had perished during the Christian attempt to take over China about 150 year ago.  Supernatural psycho energy is also the stuff fearless martyrs are made of. Hence any impure or wrong kind of religion with secret motives is a dangerous nuclear time bomb, because it has accumulated so much indigestible and self conflicting energy over so long, so wide spread and by so many people. That's why its obscured history, concealed objective and hidden potentials should be exposed without further delay. And politicians should not further call for religious freedom. Right or wrong, it's a matter for individual decisions.  It has nothing to do with politics or political movements... 

 

The kids who think joining a religion is fashionable and fun are likely to be surprised big time one of these days, not just because some religions contain unusual nature in their historical make-up, but because they have been also a political power that ruled the society, at least one religion, the Roman Catholic, has become a sovereign state. In fact, it was an ancient mythological relic converted into political administration by Roman emperor Constantine. For many long centuries its function was to forge the belief of the entire population into its own theory, and then its authority can officially decide life and death of its citizens. It went so far that the church will go all over the Empire to control the hearts and souls of people, and so such undertaking spread to other nations. Of course, it's bound to meet opposition from responsible governments of the resident nations. In the past the church would immediately sent army and navy to attack the subject nation. Nowadays there would still be a nasty political encounter between the two authorities forcing the poor committed believers to take side, thus intentionally or unintentionally causing political dissents or instability to those nations. This adds additional explosive nature to the already ticking time bomb... 

 

Fortunately, there are many other religions that are purely soul purifying, unimposing and free of political motives. These religions do not resolve to advertising or party gathering for fun and enjoyment, or to approach you, to lure you, or to convince you. or use you for an end. They do not knock on your door. They let you approach them only when you want to. Their history and records are unadulterated with politics, forces, violence, military actions, conquests or obscurity, contradiction and recently, those widely announced priestly interests on young kids' tender body orifices. Many such soul searching religions do not require your ritual commitment to their belief . They do not conduct mass prayers and conduct you to announce loyalty to their Lord and Master. 

 

Further more, from the above records of history, we see that Roman Empire had fallen into chaos and anarchy after some 5 centuries of Republican democracy, and somehow during the chaotic conditions a new religion managed to slip in. And religion happened to be the absolute power or excuse upon which emperors depended to rule his subjects, in fact, it remained the absolute power that decided life and death even in the days of Giordano Bruno (1600 AD). It probably was the reason that caused emperor Diocletian to split Roman Empire into two parts, in the hope to accommodate two religions, but it failed to work. Diocletian saw the chaos and danger he had started, so he abdicated. However, Constantine was the emperor trapped between two religions, which must have contributed much to those anarchic conditions at the time. Something drastic had to be done! Constantine was therefore a tragic figure trapped in the violent, untenable and treacherous time, and in that process, somehow caused the utter cruel bloodshed in his own family. 

 

It was also the time when men and animals were thrown into the Colosseum to tear each other apart for shear entertainments (I am afraid history might soon repeat).. And as a legacy, it eventually brought Europe some 1500 years of religious- political darkness and inhibited the growth and natural evolution of civilization for so long. It was in the extreme darkness that sudden explosion of light occurred during the Renaissance.. Unfortunately, such details in the course of civilization, such obvious causes and reasons of explanation, the European history chose to obscure them. It would otherwise have advanced human understanding by at least 200 years earlier. But instead, the lesson of the horrible past was never learned. The same struggles caused by religion and politics have been spread through the world, until today we have reached the age of nuclear weapons. Now in view of the still raw state of human nature, it appears that the final answer for peace could probably only be found in the results of nuclear confrontation... But it needs strong and equally penetrating warnings!

(Note: - If such a religious belief were to come in conflict with the Chinese traditional worship. The crash would be much greater and crueler, not only because the difference of civilization between East and West is far greater than the ancient Eastern and Western Roman Empire, but because in the core of Chinese heart, the true religion lies in the worship of ones loved ancestors. This mixture of human love and aspiration in the family's after-existence has been un-removable for longer than the entire recorded Chinese civilization  Besides, historically Chinese scholars were not superstitious. They have always been more philosophers, than superstitious. Even the Chinese Daoism is a belief strongly related to natural science and chemistry. Besides, Chinese and other Sino related religions were always based on remembrance or worship of deified past humans, not an inconceivable conceptual God. 

 

Let me explain, shall we say, if there is an after life, which I believe there is, and our after spirit can go somewhere to face our maker, then who do you think we would surely meet in the after life? Our ancestors or the inconceivable conceptual god who has never been seen or proven to exist? If there is an after life, then the only common scenario in that after world is that all humans could have reunion with beloved ancestors, while the gods of so many religions could have only jealousy and thus wars between them (I think I have no need to remind anyone how many religions there have been). Or if we do choose to worship and revere something or someone so that we can pray to or give our heart and soul to (many of us have the experience of prayers and then feeling peace and comfort after prayers), then who could be better than our own dear departed, our ancestors, who truly have created us and brought us to this world? What if someday we go to that after world and find no God there, just our ancestors. What should we say to our ancestors "Sorry dear"? It would be too late!

 

Who are the true makers of human world? Human ancestors, of course! And if we are to repent and confess to some spirits for our sins and short-comings, then to whom could it be more fitting than to our own departed ancestors who, through unfailing generations, have laboured their lives and cast upon us their love and expectations upon us. Have the Chinese missed anything, or are they unhappy because for more than 5000 years they have not worshipped any pure conceptual god? No, they are happier, because they live with the spirits of their beloved ancestors close to heart and in close communication... What can be more intimate and fulfilling than the root and core of our own soul, always living within?  So, how can any inconceivable worship remove or replace ancestral worship? How can anyone succeed to remove from the Chinese heart, the love and reverence, for their real makers of body and soul, and exchange that for some unrealistic mythological Creator? Besides, such spiritual belief increases marriage bond, enhances generations of family relationship, and ultimately units the society as a whole... 

 

What other spiritual energy can be more natural, real, intimate, loving, comforting and worthwhile believing? Many modern Chinese youth are curious and inquisitive about different religions that existed in world history, but there is no available or enough information in these parts about the true history, the background and purpose of those religions. That's why these youth should be fully informed... Today, many Chinese youth may go to churches, but right after the church, they would go home and follow their family to worship their ancestors as usual  So, what do you think is really believable and dear in their hearts? An imaginary new Lord and Master? Or the unidentifiable maker of mankind? Or the real makers of their own body and soul? The Chinese love, memory and respect of heritage has enabled my own family to record 5000 years of ancestral history. In other words, it's only natural that the subjects of worship are always conceivable images, such as human deities or something known to have existed in our midst, not indescribable or unfamiliar supernatural existences. Or simply said, when one worships or prays, one wants to worship or pray to someone or something one can identify with, and surely not one doesn't even know who or what it is! And again, when one gives ones heart and soul, one would want to give them to someone real and imaginable. When one has a desire or hope, one would want to address his prayers to the right and known recipient. So, if there was a son of god, then who or what is the father? And who or what is the father of that father? If God has a son, then who gave birth to that son? Who is God's wife? If there was a son of God, then at least God must first appear to confirm it. If God had created the universe, then what created God? Since there was nothing at all before creation, then where in that nothingness was God? Then God must be part of nothingness! We are all human beings, we are supposed to be able to think and to understand, not to believe the unbelievable, or what certain politicians pressure you or want you to believe!

 

If you don't even think, you could easily be praying and kneeling before nothing! Right or wrong? Can you imagine emperor Constantine who built the power base for Christianity and whose hands were stained with the bloods of his own family was given authority by God? Can you imagine, there were days, if people, like Giordano Bruno, didn't buy the whole package, they would be burnt alive? Where was the loving God then? One cannot see the church soldiers or weapons these days, nor can one smell the burning of human flesh, but they are still selling the same package, like a hot cake! Even so, it doesn't matter. It matters only when a church under foreign control begins to issue directives to local government (though not every local government), demanding what to do with its constitutions. That's why the full story about religion should be told. There are plenty of religions, and therefore gods, to pray to and seek enlightenment from..

 

Then again, if there exists really an after life and after-world, and we all know that all sorts of gods were invented by different religions in different cultures and parts of world, what or who would you pray to? So let me repeat, someday when we retire to that spiritual world only to find that super natural or divine spirits are men's creations but ancestral spirits are real, then what are we to say to our ancestor? "Sorry, I have been kneeling and giving my heart and soul to emperor Constantine's political creations. That's why I have neglected you, my dear maker of body and soul...  ).

One should also remember that the past religions of Indian Vedic, Greek, Egyptian, Persian and Roman origins have similar roots based on worship of the sun and astrological deities. It should also be remembered that there had been so many self acclaimed sons of God or agents of Heaven created by political and religious leaders in practically all ancient or primitive societies, e.g. all past Chinese emperor were proclaimed Son of Heaven, or "Tien Tze". Only in the recent 19th century one Catholic follower Hong Siu Chuan had proclaimed to be the Second Son of God. (Note:- His "Heavenly Father, Heavenly Brother and Heavenly Peace Kingdom" had brought about 2 million deaths in China. It took over 16 Provinces out of 28 in all the revolt lasted 4 times as long as the Second World War). Yet, none of the claims were ever confirmed by their Gods or their respective Heavens. And above all, it should be remembered that enough human blood had flown because of one religion trying to replace another in merely a few thousand years, which no decent or loving God would ever permit. Sooner or later, all humans will realize that the only belief they can rely on must be hard work and rationality. 

 

Well, now that I have stated my case, I may also add that this writing is not intended to hurt anybody. It is however meant to reveal the indisputable historical truth. If it happens to hurt at all, then I am sorry too. Sometimes revealing history can be meaningful, and helpful, yet painful, even after thousands of years. So, if you would bear with me, I would continue. However, I must add that this long page was written in bits and pieces and posted here at different intervals, it needs badly to be trimmed and reorganized. In time I shall clean it up properly step by step because the page is very long, or take it out of the web altogether. In the meantime if anyone wishes to know more about the background of these writings and the possible cause of Bird Flu, I would suggest he should examine all these related pages, despite the fact that there are many boring repeats in them. 

 

[Note;- There are fundamental conflicts that lie in between the ever advancing science or education as against the powerful chains of religious tradition and demand, or between rationality and belief. Religion cannot afford to reason and progress, it stays powerful only because it controls through a unchangeable format of worship and rituals demanded and fixed by its early authorities long long time ago. It has to remain unchanged, because antiquity itself is a powerful momentum and authority. Changes due to timely progress would render it to lose such powerful momentum and mystical grip of antiquity and tradition. So, as it happened, the European religion still retains its past format since the pre-Dark Age days. In some branch cults or churches, the power of control reaches the very core of personal existence, and it still tries to maintain its grip, although it's clear enough that it is loosing irrevocably to science and modern education. In recent years some national authorities of education have begun to prohibit the teaching of Divine Creation, which is the very core of belief, while the same religion is still stuck with same unverifiable God, which, after thousands of years, still remain unidentifiable and unfamiliar to human recognition. Science, evolution and space age education therefore are inevitably becoming the terminal enemies of Catholicism. 

 

As to religions in the East, apart from providing spiritual comfort and consolations in time of distress and danger, they are more or less moral educations. Instead of demanding allegiance and obedience, they teach self control and refinement of the individual soul. As a result they create social harmony both in the land and in the world. But Western religions, while also providing some spiritual consolations, they want loyalty and regimented submission. In fact underneath it, there is just more or less religious politics and political rhetoric. Freedom of action does not include moral constrains. So, morality is long dead and buried in many modern societies. Even when millions are dying of HIV/Aids, politicians and priests have been reluctant to speak out against the inflation of homosexuality or same sex marriage for fear of losing popularity or votes. This is modern reality, I am afraid! That's why I have great hopes in the present Pope Benedict, the 16th, as I do believe this Pope has the guts, the motivation to instigate new course. I also believe he does realize that human history and religious belief are heading for either one more great change or great destruction... 

Yet, although I say this, if I could, I would definitely continue to expose and dampen the continued Catholic political interests and expansionism. And what's more, I shall not be shy away to describe, at least in these pages, the harm, the politics, the intrigues and contradictions of its background, as well as the wrong kind of political ambitions of such belief, past or present... Regimentation of belief and allegiance to church only brings collective ideological and political conflicts, and should be minimized in the nuclear age, while inner reflection or conditioning of the soul and ancestral worship enhance harmony and bondage of the individuals and the family. They help to expose the humanitarian aspirations and enjoyment of life, therefore should be encouraged.

For instance, while most religions preach individual spiritual refinements, political and militant religions seek your total loyalty and commitment. They aim to control your very identity or your self value through a ritual of baptism (other organizations still extant that use a ritual of initiation to have members sworn and committed are black societies or secret brotherhoods or underworld organizations). Thereby you lose your individual value and become part of organized force. They then lead or guide your desire through conducted prayers, and control your deepest secrets through confession. Then the trained priests would preach you what to believe and therefore how to think. Then when you are entranced, they would lead you to imagine that your Lord, your Master and your Savior is the Light, the Truth and the only power that gives you Life. They will teach you to beg ("prayer" is a nice word for "begging"), like a slave in chain, for your Master's mercy and forgiveness. Then when you are dazed enough, you would do it yourself, and kneel and beg on your knees, or openly call out the name of your Lord and your Savior with all your heart and soul. In some church they would work you up until you scream or shout in tears for your Master. Then they would assemble you together to repeat the rituals every Sunday, so that you don't slip out of it and forget, and because you are accompanied by others, you would feel perfectly natural, comforted and psychologically supported.... Otherwise, you will feel alone, like an outcast, if you are not part of the worship. Once you have entered the atmosphere, you are lost in that atmosphere.... 

 

In short, such political religious worships are regimented, guided, conducted and constantly psychologically controlled, while all true religions encourage individual soul searching or meditation to reach inner perfection and find personal peace and harmony with divine nature. The church authorities obviously know their own history and developments, but they are not going to tell you. Instead, they would group you together and then mesmerize you with conducted and guided prayers, which then knowingly lead believers nowadays to form loyal political groups, or knowingly guide young soldiers to kill or be killed. Of course, those religious authorities who know the history of their religion deliberately use believers to act or sacrifice for them. But now the truth of historical records are gradually coming out of many old cultures, such as India and many countries of the Middle East. There are two major harmful consequences of political religion. Firstly, it diverts followers from proper and rightful reach to divine vibrations in nature. Secondly, it sets up a political Trojan Horse in nations that allow it to grow and prosper, especially to remain in control of its organization. This could someday turn dangerous, because religious belief is not a rational energy, as long as it is not grouped or conducted, it could still be harmless, but once it is organized and guided to act, it could turn peace into riots and hell. It goes without saying, if the Trojan Horse is controlled in some foreign hands, sooner or later it will break loose to your regrets or even worst...          

 

One cannot afford to neglect the past and the origin of any force or energy that seek to control human psyche and turn it into conducted actions. Therefore, the history is important as it reveals the origin and the original intent. One must not forget that church used to imprison, torture and burnt people alive if they didn't believe. Some actually rather die then do it, just like Giordano Bruno. If there was a God, or if they did believe in God, then would they have done it? Therefore history tells it all...  Power religions would erect great monumental figure of worship on top of your mountain overlooking your city, and the church would advertise in your TV, on your street with probably the biggest neon signs in your town (at least in Hong Kong), or display slogans wherever you go. There are so many branches of cults or churches, all aimed for the same goal and purpose, and they would send some of them knocking on your door. Then of course they will organize numerous indoor and outdoor song and games or other pleasurable activities to keep you happy and to lure the young and curious. And of course you can tell the 6 to 12 years old school kids to believe in anything, which would become stuck most likely for the rest of their lives. In short, just like the allied animals attacking the bull at the picture of "Mithra slaying the bull", that's why they always formed coalitions when they go to war. And in that way they would do anything or use any means to lure, to conduct, to group you together for political or military purposes. Why political purposes? Because the entire history or its existence was none other than a political creation, which only its organizers know...    

 

There are images and idols of Jesus everywhere and everywhere they will tell you that Jesus is your Master, is your Life, your Soul, your Lord, your Light, your Path, your Savior, your Truth. Once you started to enjoy the gathering and the rituals, in time, you will believe everything and become a slave. In other words, they will teach you how to kneel before your Lord and Master. Yet, all the time, only they know that Jesus is just the mythological Pagan god, in fact, not even the original Mithra. And, while all that's going on, Jesus remains guilty of blasphemy because he claimed to God's son, but God never agreed... But all you need to do is to believe, to kneel, to pray, to beg, to submit, to respect and love your master, and to be convinced. And of course, if something bothers your conscience, you would go to confess to your master in front of his appointed agents who would then show you how to redeem and seek forgiveness. Of course you think you are kneeling and submitting to God, but since God is unidentifiable, you are submitting your heart and soul to the church, and your baptized or committed membership will reinforce and enhance the power of the organization... 

 

Imagine, the unidentifiable God, who has never shown his face, and has never agreed or accepted that Jesus was his son, has told his church to do all that!...  And besides, does all that not remind one of the days of slavery when the daily business between the lords, the masters and the slaves were going just like that? ... That's why history is important. Clearly these are the remnants of some measures taken in the medieval days and earlier, but modern practices are still stuck with them. No other extant religions would go as far to control the inner conscience of a person, and to fix a repeat of confessing the inner echo and worship every 7days. But these were the same methods used in the days of the Dark Ages and days of slavery. Yet they are also pushing them in the days of the 21st century Space Age... (Reflection:- Since there is an "after life", I have a strange feeling that the spirits of Giordano Bruno, Joan of Arc and thousands of others, especially those in Spanish Inquisition, who were burnt alive for not believing in Jesus or God, are listening right now with approval of the music I have just played on their behalf. Even great men like Galileo and Copernicus who were scared to death, would be smiling because of what I write.)

And of course, once your are in trance, and when they got enough numbers of you young people going, they might, rarely though, righteously and expertly tell you that your people, your government or your culture permit no freedom of religion and no human rights, or something to that effect, or anything that may induce resentment and therefore objection to your authorities.  So, you would begin to join others to demand democracy or whatsoever that has nothing to do with religion or worship of God at all... And before you know it, you have become convinced and excited enough to organize protest or street march against your own government, or perhaps call for independence, or look down on whatever traditions your forefathers gave their lives to built since thousands of years ago. In fact, you might even hate your own identity and yourself... And then of course foreign politicians would then pound on giving free hand to religion. International news medias would then blast away reporting it. When these things happen daily, in time all would become those natural and righteous slogans for "Freedom of Religion" or "Freedom of Press", or even freedom from yourself... . 

 

Yes, these things happen all the time! Or haven't you noticed? If you don't believe, come to Hong Kong, and you will see signs of religious persuasions everywhere, which have become second nature and what's high and right long ago. In many parts of the world there are presently two ongoing struggles for power and controls between the governments of the land and the religious authority controlled by foreign powers, i.e. firstly, the struggle for appointments of Bishops by national authorities or by the Vatican, and secondly, the demand to adopt the Western style democracy, for which you must first riot against your present system and split up your country into conflicting fractions, or political parties, so that in some countries they can fight to grab power and in other countries, they can kill each other (even civil wars like what's going on in Iraq). I know it's hard to believe that a church, a foreign one at that, would have the gall to tell a government how to institute its constitution, especially when its own dominion would never practice democratic election of its own Pope.  But that's exactly what inspired me to write this way. Besides, there was a Catholic revolt in this region only about 150 years that took a couple of million Chinese lives. (Note:- In fact, Hong Kong is not refusing democracy at all. Hong Kong people have noticed that there are serious faults in Western style democracy and are working hard to improve those faults by experimenting a better system that avoids the total control of political parties). 

The Roman Catholic never want democracy themselves, in fact, they used to reject anything they didn't want. They called them heretics, then put them in prison, tortured them and burnt them alive. In Spanish Inquisition thousands died this way and their properties were confiscated, then shared between informers and inquisitors (church authorities), of course all in the name of God.... The fact that they don't practice the same measures now does not mean that their nature and belief have evaporated. They still practice the old format and ritual of worship that was practiced 2000 years ago, and have not and cannot officially recanted or apologized for all those terrible things. I will now illustrate only one example here... Astronomer and mathematician Giordano Bruno, who believed that the universe is edgeless and center-less and that there are numerous suns, earths, etc.. Such theory was in opposition to the church's theory that the earth is the one and only center of universe, and that the Sun revolves around earth. So Giordano Bruno was imprisoned, tormented and tortured for 7 years and burnt alive in public at the stake in Rome in AD 1600 by the Roman Catholic church who at that time ruled above the authority of European kings. 

(Note:- Imagine after 7 years of imprisonment, torture, torment and the horror of burning alive, Giordano Bruno still did not retract his scientific theory and rather chose death instead. Upon acceptance of his death sentence he told the church to this effect "You are more afraid of truth than I am afraid of death".  So they put his tongue in a gag to stop him talking and burnt him alive, and as always, in public view to scare others. As far as Giordano's theory of universe is concerned, of course he was right, because that is what we know of the universe today... So, as you can see, there is nothing in history that's more absolute, demanding and more thorough than the hold of some religions... Yet, despite the church's fear of scientific truth, mankind has arrived at the age of science, evolution and even cloning humans, not Adam and Eve, or divine creation... It would appear that either God has no power to stop the advance of science, or God has no control over His church, because at least He could order his ministers to build a public monument in front of the Cathedral in Bruno's honor to commemorate his courage to die for the truth, and to apologize for all his terrible torments and his death, as well as for all those others who died in similar situations because their views or beliefs had differed with the church. In fact, the church should have the courage to officially and publicly recant from their own belief and their own theory to make good the past wrongs and join the modern world. If the church had done so, I am sure historians might refrain from bringing up the past so frequently, and if the church had encouraged Hong Kong's search for a truer democracy, instead of the declared intent to demand Western style democracy, then I would not be writing like this at all.    

 

Joan of Arc was burnt alive too. Copernicus dared not publish his theory of solar system for decades until laying in his death bed. Galileo was scared stiff and recanted his theory, but was still put under house arrest for life. How many less important folks had been put through such tortures? One can imagine the depth of oppression that resulted in centuries of darkness, in the so called the "Dark Age". So, again, if there is a God, then he surely would have cared. If God is almighty, he would been able to change a few things. And if such a simple deduction cannot be appreciated, then it's better to believe in one own hard work, rather than to wake up someday to realize that ones life long prayers have all gone to none other than certain tragic political decision of some ancient Roman emperor whose existence had long vanished into oblivion. You see that's why it's by far more superior to believe in the spirits of your own ancestors who had loved you and really created you. Besides, every educated person knows that religions started only a few thousand years ago. So, was it God who created man, or man who created God? But we all know our ancestors are not inventions... Let me be brutally frank once, if you lose your judgment, you lose your intelligence. If you lose your intelligence, you lose yourself.

The Roman Catholics were really thorough, they destroyed and removed the Mayan and Inca cultures, the Muslim cultural influence in Spain, and obliterated many historic records leaving little or no trace today in their conquered lands in South America. These are all precious human inheritance that would have made a big difference in human civilization. Then they tried to destroy the Muslim religion with Crusaders but failed. In China the military Christian revolt also failed. But if they had succeeded, you can imagine how thorough their efforts would have been. One needs only be reminded of the fate of total obliteration of Mayan and Inca cultures and the Spanish Inquisition. The slavery that followed the African conquests. You can also think of the centuries of darkness and depression in Europe under the rule of the church, when masses of humans were forced to accept formalities of beliefs and worship that were comparable to relationship between masters and slaves, and non-conformers were imprisoned, tortured and burnt to death in public... I am sorry that it hurts, but Truth always hurts... Yes, the Catholics were thorough, so thorough and extensive that even in today's space-age politicians are still using the church for political ends, and the priests, religious scholars are helping by describing everything, past cruelties included, as holy, divine, love and nothing on earth could be more high and right... Why do these things happen? Because many leading politicians know how certain religion was concocted. Many of them have been members of those secret organizations. If there was a righteous God, none of the above human atrocities and power dominance would have happened... So, to this day the exploitation of weakness and innocence in human psyche continues...     

You see, humans are creatures of habits. If the master hammers in ideas thorough enough, long enough and frequent enough, the slaves will believe anything the master says in the end. In a similar way, if your television, radio, Internet, news medias and commercial adverts tell you what to believe or how to think, if the efforts are thorough and overwhelming enough, sooner or later you will buy it (at least many of us would). It's also why politicians want freedom for church to do their job... The present day high and mighty slogan is "Press Freedom", "Religious Freedom" and "Human Rights", but once the interests conflict or when your loudspeakers become louder, then the slogan would change or there will be a double standard. Following that, all ones own slogans would be forgotten!... There is a battle of the mind going on everywhere, especially to reach for the young and innocent, and in places like Hong Kong where East meets West, and so far, still little is known about the past history and belief on both sides. That's why the history and belief on both sides must be adequately, even hurtfully revealed. Because we have arrived in the age of nuclear weapons. Any further aggression, be it military or ideological, be it political or religious, it inevitably must lead us all steps closer to nuclear confrontation...

It should also be said that religion can, at times, be a positive aid. It happens when some individuals seek supernatural help to strengthen their will power, but not when some organizers begin to promulgate it into a massive scale of political energy. That's why many Eastern religions never impose their will or their ideas on people, not in the slightest! It's always people who go to the temples, if and when they want, and individuals must seek himself to find spiritual guidance or enlightenment themselves, and not regimented or conducted to think and believe. Spiritual belief is meant to refine the individual soul quality, not a regimented movement, unless God declares that He has turned into  a politician. Heightened belief can drug, kill! and commit suicide. Opium or other drugs too, can at times be an aid to health problems, provided only a limited dose is administered. For instance, they can relieve ulcer pains, but not when drug pushers begin to promulgate it into a massive scale. In the beginning of 19th century some Chinese were lured to believe in the pain relieving properties of  the newly introduced opium. Soon the entire country was lost in opium smokes, and everything they owned went up with it. Then at the height of Opium Wars, religious powers thought it was good time to open the Trojan Horse and take over China. So they launched a Christian revolt.

Few people do not realize that religion is a powerful drug to the mind, because it can replace ones belief and thinking, hence influence ones actions and behaviours. Not only it can change ones rational nature, but once one is hooked, it can hang on and reach so deep that one may lose ones sole identity. Yet like opium, its effect would give such feeling of comfort and pleasure. That's why most drugs to the body or to the mind must be controlled by national and local authorities, and that's why so many branches of religion in history had to break away from Rome to establish their own church and own control. And for that very reason there will always be strong condemnations from the central church controllers, as well as political pressures to make you give up your own controls and render free hands to the foreign religious controllers. And in reality, the only sacrificial lambs on the alter are the pure, innocent and usually young believers who would become part of the regimented religious or political force to act against their own ancestral traditions...

Now let's pick up the earlier discussions. Emperor Constantine initiated special privileges to the church and gave it such authorities that would later become the cause of the terrible repression of any unorthodox beliefs during the entire Dark Age, extending all the way to the European Renaissance because Giordano Bruno was burnt only in AD 1600. So, the absolute grip of Christian political power that pinned down European evolutionary development had extended almost 1500 years. During those centuries the church ruled supreme above European monarchs and established its foundation during the Dark Age so deep and wide that even more than one and half millennia later its political interests still would not relent. The influence remains strong today! The chaotic situation at the 4th century Roman society was extremely reminiscent of Moses' experience of utter chaos in the 13th century BC.  If Constantine could turn himself into a religious prophet like Moses, and if Paganism were monotheistic, he would have come up with some sorts of new God's Commandments and inserted them onto Pagan worship, but Paganism was polytheistic. Also if Constantine were a Jew, he would have worshiped Judaism and the Torah, and replaced Paganism with Judaism, but he was a Roman emperor, and not a Jew. Because the Christianity contained the story of a master betrayed by his own disciple, and was prosecuted, judged, condemned and executed with other criminals under Roman law, it was not the perfect choice. But it would have to do!... Actually, Jesus' crime of blasphemy still stands today. It's obvious, because Jesus was a human and God is not. And God never granted him the privilege as a son. In fact, even God's existence is not proven, let alone his son...   

Note:- However, in the situation that Constantine was experiencing, the above duel authorities of monocratic imperial rule and monotheistic supernatural belief would have become the absolutely undisputable power that could clean up a whole century of anarchic chaos caused by 6 centuries of primitive democracy during the Roman Republican days. [Note:- Few have admitted that Roman democracy was the direct cause of Roman anarchy and the final demise of the empire. As a rule, democracy, at least ancient democracy, did not produce humane leaders, only heartless orating and inciting politicians. Of course, in order to grab power, you must form a strong party and convince followers, then use rhetoric to incite opposition to the ruling power. Sometimes, but rarely, the results are positive, but most of the time you care for popularity and the votes only, and in the process you turn morality and orders upside down, or the country apart. In time, it's pure anarchy]      

 

Anyway, Jesus was hailed at the time as the Savior, the Salvation, because he was used to save he Roman anarchy, that's how the name got stuck (Note:- But now, the world has experienced a few more centuries of modern democracy under political parties' control, national leadership has become a popularity contest, instead of choice of proven ability and moral qualities. No political party would risk the unpopular voice for any kind of moral restrain. So after a couple of centuries of political rhetoric, moral degeneration begins again, and is heading for the similar chaos as it was in the days of Constantine or Moses. However, that's another story and we will discuss elsewhere). Anyhow, the so called Salvation forced European life deep into centuries of Dark Age. Then came the Mongolian invaders suddenly to wake up the lifeless European and Arabian worlds, then the Mongolian and Arabian battle techniques were immediately picked up and blended into the Roman ruthlessness. Together they would cause immeasurable changes in Europe and Middle East during the Middle Ages. By the time of Columbus and Spanish conquests, the religiously inspired military forces were taken to America with great success. These said two prong military and religious weapons were used not only to occupy and rule the conquered lands, but also to exterminate the Inca and Mayan religions, and to wipe out the Muslim influences in the post Muslim Spain. The success of Christian conquest both in ancient Rome and in Southern America would develop into a two prong weapon of invasion wherever the Western coalition forces went. The forces and powers of politics and religion became inseparable. That's why politicians are still demanding freedom for religion. Nothing has changed!

 

One prong was the hard and ruthless military and political maneuver that convinced the hard reality and the head, whilst the religious prong was the soft persuasion that aimed to divert the heart from the hard realities. Behind the two prongs was one relentless crave of expansion, the result of 1500 years of utter starvation of materials and spirits as a result of horrible Dark Ages. These two prongs worked also like two arms. One arm gave a hard punch that knocks down the opponent, and the other arm embraced or held the opponent still. This arm could also hold the opponent still until the other hand punch him down. Behind it was the hidden Pagan image of Mithra slaying the bull, aided by animal allies. Constantine's religion was an unexposed worship of Mithra, the Pagan god of battle and wars. The Pagan symbol of sun, the cross, was marked on soldiers' shields instead of on their foreheads. Finally, Diocletian's idea of splitting the control of Roman Empire was turned into splitting control of later colonies. 

 

The two prong strategy could also be applied internally to create a mighty fighting force. A military and political prong charged the soldiers with purpose to kill, say for whatever cause that sounded advantageous or righteous, while the religious prong then prepare soldiers to kill or to be killed, say by military priests' prayers or promise of after life, thus creating a regimented, yet highly charged force. Together hand in hand, they have succeeded in many conquests around the world until the 2nd World War. Of course, they were in luck, because the world was mostly unopened and unprepared for war in those days. Nowadays all these charges are useless. A bomb or nuclear bomb would blast everything to smithereens... Ad lastly, there are numerous possibilities and uses when the worship of God infiltrate into unsuspecting societies or nations. All the controller needs to decide is to count how many sworn and committed recruits are in their bag. Of course, not all religious cults are interested in making Trojan Horses, because many are too busy in search for spiritual Nirvana  But the difference can be easily spotted by observing their interests in politics.   

 

These are facts of history from South America to Middle East, or to Africa, or to Asia, or elsewhere. That's why wherever solders went, priests went too. That's why politics were always behind religions and religions worked for politics, and vice versa.. God could not possibly have demanded people to be sworn and baptized as devotees first before He accept them. It was the church that made sure and taught them to beg or pray and submit with their soul and heart. Because those were the remnants of formalities imposed and demanded of followers during the days of Dark Age and earlier, they are still in use today. Religion is a deep psychological force that cannot afford to change with time. If it does, it would lose its grip and hold. Modern people are therefore still witnessing and living how it was done during the lightless days when people were made to kneel, to pray, to confess .. to call out to the Lord, the Master, the Father, the Almighty... and Jesus was the Savior, the Light, the Truth, the whole Life... And if they didn't believe it, they would be tortured or burnt alive...  It was in fact how a slave would have been treated  It was the absolute extreme that any civilization can experience...

 

Such a civilization was also the background, the cause, for the call or the voice of freedom that can still be heard of so loudly today. Only freedom has a habit of becoming the only high and right label as well as going to the extremes. Therefore, now there are freedom of gay sex and gay marriage, freedom to disrespect ones own national leadership, or freedom to disrespect other cultural values. Therefore, freedom is becoming an unbounded randomness. History is repeating itself. Freedom and anarchy was what caused Moses to give Ten Commandments. It was what caused Constantine to give the Christian rule. The time gaps between Moses to Constantine and from Constantine to our time are both about 17 centuries, and strange enough, both causes stemmed around the district of Palestine, the persistent center of troubles today (please read prediction by Nostradamus in the Second Letter.). Some of us seem to be going back into the cycles of history with unstoppable force. Therefore, it should be reminded that Western history is not the whole history of mankind. There are other great historical forces, and the disrespect of those forces in time could bring about the entire mankind into bloodbath in nuclear age. .   

 

After the second World War, the Western colonial forces became disintegrated everywhere. Now no more colonies and slavery remained. The possibility of reprisal for the past looms, at least cannot be ruled out. Therefore it is time for consolidation and defense, and to preach human rights and freedom as well as the control of nuclear bombs, plus all that's high and right. Sadly though, there are still a few who still dream of past glory and would go out of way or do anything to savor the taste of "victory" (even if it takes half the world's coalition soldiers to defeat just one already defeated man, so that the children of history can sing the songs of victory, even if it seeds hatred and animosity for a great part of the world for generations to come ). Who knows, perhaps otherwise after the 2nd World War, also the entry of nuclear weapon age and the establishment of United Nations, the human civilization might have taken a different route towards real peace and away from the past expansionism. 

 

But the deliberate and uninvited implantation of faulty democracy through military means into a wide region will now bring about a whole new era of internal conflicts for the region, and lead all the nations involved, and more, into the start of the next world conflict or wars. All because some politicians cannot contain the itch of playing with the military toys and political power entrusted in them. Personal vengeance has driven a great nation to act like gangland vendetta, resorting to money or ransom. The invasion bringing along civil wars with daily slaughter is called building democracy.  Now, everybody knows something has gone badly wrong, but once again the people under the so called Democracy, the religious authorities and the whole world are witnessing with their eyes wide open the arrogant display of military and political dominance as well as the drama of party support and national loyalty in making the greater or lasting human conflicts and perhaps future world war. All this occurs while threats of "nuclear options on the table" are openly declared. So, history is indeed repeating again in front of us all. Remember,1st World War was started with much less reasons, but it did lead to the 2nd World War, and finally nuclear explosion....

 

Nuclear wars cause too much damages for both winners and losers. And yet they cannot be effectively controlled in the age that increasingly needs nuclear energy. Other new carbon based chemical fuel would still give carbon dioxide. All other sources of power from nature are insufficient for the increasing human volume and needs. Soon the need of nuclear energy cannot be eliminated or denied by any nation. Besides, no nation would tolerate the thought of  "I can have, but you cannot". That would surely cause war. Any more wars, dominations or disputes could start everyone scrambling for nuclear defense technology, or nuclear materials to hide away. Therefore, this must be the turning point of history. There are no long term prospects for more political or religious conquests. Time is running out for the two prong techniques of invasions too. What's left are only debts of centuries of human blood and slavery... I have no choice but to make this analysis for everybody, because this world belongs to me also. Someday, if and when those nasty little bombs blow up, I and those I love would be blown up too!

At this point let me sum up the earlier passages. In a nut shell, the modern world, influenced by Western expansion, is unaware of the gradually but increasingly dangerous devastation of future world war, as nations continue to expand dominance through coalition of allies and develop weapons. As a whole, a great part of human race is yet unaware that it is engrossed in the worship of war and conquest, and unexposed to the philosophy and the aspirations that could bring harmony to humanity. Political religion or religious politics is not the only time bomb bequeathed to the contemporary generations by momentous legacy of the past. Many people do not realize that social energy, like ecological energy, is a cumulative energy. It accumulates energy quietly and unnoticeably over centuries or millenniums, then one night when people are sleeping, it explodes. This is exactly how earthquake occurs. When the wrong kind of social energy accumulates enough, it explodes too, and every traditional belief goes with it, just like the French Revolution in the 18th century. Only the world is now much bigger, and there are plenty of wrong energy in it. When it explodes, much of the world will go with it, because this time it will be a nuclear explosion...

It has been a long time, the Catholic church in Hong Kong has been a force of influence in interfering local politics. Its leader here is referred to by the medias as "Outspoken". This time it's about the church's demand on the development of Hong Kong's new Constitution. All scholars and even most people in the West know about the history and development of Christianity in the early centuries, but here in the East, those historical facts are completely concealed to the public and to the innocent believers. I am not objecting to any pure religious belief as long as a religion behaves like a religion, but once a religion behaves like a political organization, then the real objectives of religion become obvious. On top of that, to lure the Chinese people to change their belief or ways of life, one has to first dismantle the traditional Confucian democratic philosophy and the Chinese worship of ancestral spirits, which has a history of well over 6000 years. This is a sure formula for incitation of cultural disintegration. The force of culture and civilization is what keeps society in order and peace. Once the cultural life is adulterated by foreign forces of belief, blood flows. The implantation of anti-cultural forces in a traditional or cultural belief is more deadly, more devastating and lasting than military invasions, because it generates lasting turmoil and civil war., like the "Heavenly Father Heavenly Brother and Heavenly Peace Kingdom" .  

The spread of foreign political and religious belief should always be controlled in the hands and in the discretion of Chinese people and its government, never under the control and discretion of intruding political or religious or any ideological forces, especially to a religion, which is known to be the product of ancient imperial politics, one that had caused so much darkness in European civilization for so long. This historical proofs remain today, in fact, no matter how long time passes, the archeological evidences could always be revealed and people will know of how Christianity was installed, or how religion became politics and politics became religion and military aggressions. Meanwhile, modern science leaves no doubt about the true origin and evolution of life on earth, hence over turning the central preaching of monotheistic religion. The future of political religion is therefore quite predictable. So why allow the make-belief of the ancient past motivate future civilization? Therefore real story must be told.  The longer it waits, the deeper and sorrier the energy becomes, the wider it spreads, the more violent it would explode someday. Why not shrink back a little and release the pressure to true reality now, rather than someday let it explode like an atomic bomb? The past may be hidden but it can never be wiped out. Even the Inca ghosts are coming back to tell their stories from their burial grounds. So, let's face it now! God never created man, it was man who created God.  

Why spread religion's political face to the East? It really would be better to believe in ones own hard work, than to believe a life time, only to be involuntarily wakened up and to suddenly realize that ones life long prayers have gone to none other than some political maneuvers, past or present. Or to find out all those lovely heavenly love you give you heart and soul to, turned into ugly political reality. It's going to happen sooner or later, you know! In fact, it is already happening everyday!... The new Catholic Pope, Benedict, the 16th, has just given a 2005 Christmas message. 

He said "Men of this technological age risk becoming victims of the successes of their intelligence and the results of their operative capabilities, if what they obtain is spiritual atrophy and an emptiness in the heart. So it is important for us to open our minds and hearts to the birth of Christ, this event of salvation, which can give new hope to the life of each human being.”. 

I do think he meant well and I applause his concern for the "emptiness in the heart". I also understand he is trapped by the duty of being Pope. But he knows more than any people that Dec 25th was not the birthday of Jesus. Besides, the real salvation of about 1500 years of religious Dark Age in European was not the birth or influence of Jesus, but the gift of a printing press introduced from China to the Arabs and then onto Spain. And if the cause of Dark Age cannot be truthfully spoken, how can one believe the rest? How can anybody allow that cruel and bloody religious history fill your minds and hearts, and how can it "give new hope to the life of each human being"?  Each human being? What ambition! And how dare he talk of each human being! If Dec 25th is not what it supposed to be, then what each human being would get is not new hope, just an unexploded bomb, a wrong kind of surprise. Wouldn't they? So, is self deceit the morale of each human life? I say this, not intending to disrespect the Pope at all. It's just unfortunate, it must be said because the hope of future mankind lies in the truth that is told.... 

(In Mid Sept 2006, the Pope made an unprovoked attack on Islam by quoting a 14th century Byzantine Christian Emperor's Manuel Paleologos II's remark on Islam, saying that Mohammed had brought on ".... only evil and inhuman. Such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached...". He then apologized partially for his action. For a man who leads 1.1 billion Christian followers, any offensive comments on another religion is untimely and unnecessary. If the comment is not malicious in nature, an apology brings humiliation. If the comment contains malice, then it adds energy to the ticking time bomb.".  

The following was what Pope Benedict said on Christmas day of 2006 regarding the right to religious freedom.

"The duty to respect the dignity of each human being, in whose nature the image of the Creator is reflected, means in consequence that the person can not be disposed of at will. Those with greater political, technical, or economic power may not use that power to violate the rights of others who are less fortunate. Peace is based on respect for the rights of all. Conscious of this, the Church champions the fundamental rights of each person. In particular she promotes and defends respect for the life and the religious freedom of everyone. Respect for the right to life at every stage firmly establishes a principle of decisive importance: life is a gift which is not completely at the disposal of the subject. Similarly, the affirmation of the right to religious freedom places the human being in a relationship with a transcendent principle which withdraws him from human caprice. The right to life and to the free expression of personal faith in God is not subject to the power of man. Peace requires the establishment of a clear boundary between what is at man's disposal and what is not: in this way unacceptable intrusions into the patrimony of specifically human values will be avoided".

I feel compelled to add the followings :- The "Creator", which the Pope referred to above was pointing to the ancient Jewish script that "God created man in his own image", not authentic words spoken or written by God. We all know that all religions were invented by man, subsequent to civilization, therefore in truth, man had created God. The other way cannot be verified by proof. Again, "a relationship with a transcendent principle which withdraws him from human caprice" would seem wonderful, if only the church can completely detach herself from human politics. This being said, the thought of God is meaningful and charitable to the human soul, only if the church history and performance had always been pure religion and not politics or dominion rules, past or present. To discard or transform the past for the present proper and convincing procedures are required. As to "The right to .... the free expression of personal faith in God is not subject to the power of man", this would depend on whether God is mental or real. Every human being has the right to truth and protect himself from unreal educations or capricious impositions, even if the intent is good. The church must never impose her power and political will to control, or interfere freedom, in appointment of bishops. Lastly, the real physical and mental Creator of the human existence is the human ancestor, therefore the relationship between ancestral creators and descendants with a transcendent principle is a natural and humane consequence. Forces attempting or persuading to alter that intimate natural bondage into some unnatural allegiance will by nature, and rightly, encounter objections. Therefore, it's clear that freedom of religion is not an absolute human right! Absolute human right is the right to protect natural and humane bond from unnatural and unacceptable intrusions...        

Besides, let's face it, people are told to believe that Jesus is the son of God, but since when has God ever agreed or acknowledged the claim? Jesus was killed for that claim and Hong Siu Chuan, the leader of Chinese Christian revolt, committed suicide for the same claim... If Jesus was the salvation, then people like Joan D'Arc and Giordano Bruno and thousands of others in Spanish Inquisition would not have been tortured and burnt alive, or countless people wouldn't have perished in religious wars, and Mayan or Inca beliefs would have been tolerated. Also scientists like Galileo and Copernicus would not have to be so scared. Of course, these things were in the past, but the energy is still present, because the church has no intention to recant its commitments... There are many other religions on earth that don't have the bloody past and that are really and only for the well being of the heart, the spirit and the soul!.. Sorry! But here again it needs to be said! I now say it because at long last, human beings on earth are not afraid to say it any more!.. How the devil did intellectual and technical achievements get to become a threat or a risk? And since when have such achievements ever made the heart empty? Spiritual atrophy occurs only when belief of God turns into belief of politics. The heart can only become empty, if and when love of mankind turns into love of power or conquest. These things did happen in history, and still do, when religion is in fact politics, and politics is actually religion. 

Indeed, there have been all kinds of religions and worships through out human history. They may be categorized into two groups. The monotheistic and the polytheistic religions. The monotheistic religion believes in one God, Adam, Eve and the snake, in divine creation, in one sun only in the universe, which then revolves around the earth, and so on. The greatest enemies for such belief and worship is education, science and evolution, i.e. the results of intellectual achievements. Within the next half a century, the entire humanity would reach a high level of scientific education. The danger is indeed real and irreversible to such religious belief and worship. The reason is simple! If reality contradicts religious belief, and if reality is true and belief is false, then your life time's kneeling and praying with all your heart and soul would end up in oblivion, or in self deceit. True or false?... If true, then the final Savior of mankind must be the Truth, and Truth only! So let us face the Truth bravely, and release the compressed energy before it explodes in this nuclear age.... O.K. Does it mean that without God it will be the end of the world? I don't think so! There are many cultures with or without that God. They are all doing well, or better in moral performance...   

Now let's take a look at other forms of spiritual belief. Polytheistic religions worship identifiable mighty powers or gods of nature, such as the Sun gods and gods of planets, or deified humans, such as ancestors or great historic figures. These idols of worship are identifiable to the mind because they exist or have existed. Such worships are in fact  timeless, especially the worship of ancestral spirits. It's obvious ancestral worship will remain regardless of advances of science and knowledge. All religions believe in "after life". If after life existed, then we and our ancestors shall all meet again, except the imaginary God because his existence has never been proven or verified. In fact, even the gods of nature, such as the mythological or astrological gods make more sense, because the more sciences know about nature, the more humans would adore nature's powers. In the US special Astrology University, called Kepler College, has recently been established. Some great universities, such as University of Paris is giving out Ph.D qualification to professional astrologer. Astrology, once an important subject of higher learning in major European universities, is now given a new lease of life. So, if Pagan religion had not been destroyed or concealed, it might have evolved into something much more colourful, meaningful and probably much more significant today or in the future...   

In short, both untrue democracy and political religion are some things the West has inherited from some troubled ancient past, and still are stuck with them in this space and nuclear age. Momentum of tradition does not allow it to come clean. Meanwhile, the gap between scientific nature and the superstitious nature are widening each day, there can be no doubt what the final revelation would be. These political religious energies were the products of similar historic backgrounds and historical period as those of the Roman Colosseum where people enjoyed watching human flesh being torn apart by animals or between humans. Such conflicting energies have no long term future, and could cause more human atrocities in the world for a long time to come, and therefore should not be enlarged, nor exported, nor spread all over the globe. I have also pointed out that after less than 200 generations of evolution in civilization, the human nature is still raw, it would take yet thousands of years of further progress in evolution to develop those truly intellectual, tempered and advanced qualities in human nature. But we are already in the nuclear weapon age. It's not the weapons that needs controls, in fact, it cannot be controlled, because only nuclear energy is clean and efficient, all other energies are either insufficient or will continue to produce toxic gas and increase global warming! Therefore, it's the humans or politicians that need to be controlled, and some decisive and urgent change should take place soon! All human beings must individually and collectively take up responsibility to discard the misled and troubled past and face reality before it's too late!... Again, I say this, not with intent to offend well meaning church goers or people who are innocently attracted to the name and appearance of political and religious systems. I write for the millions of believers and would be believers..... 

So at this point, we may now do some final reflections and ask some questions. 

1) Christian religion believes and preaches that God created Adam, and made Eve from Adam's ribs, who then gave birth to mankind. It also believes that Earth is the sole center of universe with the Sun revolving around earth. True or false?  

2) In history there are no records for birthday of Jesus. The day Dec 25th was the memorial birthday of Pagan sun god Mithra in Pagan religion. History show that in AD 350 Pope Julius, the First, officially ordered that Dec 25th to be converted as Jesus' birthday, Christmas. True or false? Christmas celebrations were for a long time suppressed in United States and in Britain because of objection to its Pagan origin. It had only become popular again after middle of 19th century... True or false?  

3) Recent investigations of history in Nazareth, Israel, by genealogists and archeologists have reported that Jesus had many brothers and sisters by the same parents Joseph and Marry, indicating that Mary was not a holy virgin. The present hot media topic called "Da Vinci Code" relates that Jesus too was married and had off springs. True or false?    

4) Jesus was betrayed and reported to the occupying Roman forces and authorities by his disciple, one Judas, for his remark and claim to be the son of God, and was prosecuted, condemned and convicted for blasphemy, and was executed along with two other criminals. Through history his Heavenly Father never agreed, nor acknowledged that Jesus was His son. True or false? 

5) Historic records show that Jesus and Pagan sun god Mithra (an original Persian or Iranian religion) shared the same legend e.g. born of virgin mother in a stable witnessed by wise men, having 12 disciples, last supper, crucified and resurrected, cross as main symbol, and are called Messiah, Savior, the Light, etc, etc.... So, how is it possible for two different religions (monotheistic and polytheistic religions) and two kinds of gods to coexist and grow side by side with the same story until they were merged as one? How could such impossible coincidence, or colossal controversy occur without being objected, or even detected, then and now?

6) According to Christian belief, the first and most important of Ten Commandment God commands " I am the Lord your God.... You shall have no other Gods before me". The modern Christian nations answer this command with "Freedom of Religion:" and allow all sorts of Gods and "images" of worship under legal protection. And Christian God has not complained. True or false?

7) The second most important command from God is that Christians should do nothing except worship of God on the 7th day, Saturday, the day of Saturn or Sabbath Day, which is "a day of Sabbath to the Lord, your God". But instead the Christians rather choose Sunday do worship. Sunday or sun's day was the 1st day of Creation, not the 7th day. Sunday was originally the day to worship god of sun, decreed in year 321 by Roman emperor Constantine after he was converted to Christianity, which the Christians still observe... True or false?.

8) The next important command from God is "You shall not kill", meaning killing humans. But in the following 3000 years since the advent of Ten Commandment, the Christian followers were more busy than others in killing themselves and other humans in wars of conquests, in Roman Colosseum, in religious wars or Crusades, in torturing or burning heretics alive, in colonial wars and in world wars. True or false?

9) The next most important command of God is "You shall not commit adultery". The modern Christian world answer this command by being the first to legalize divorce, and homosexual marriage or gay sex between man and man, etc., etc.,. We all know that HIV/Aids were started by homosexual intercourse, which by now has killed millions, especially in Africa. The church answer God's command by allowing hundreds of priests to commit sex crimes against young people and pay for the crime without expelling the guilty priests... True or false?

10) The next most important command of God is "You shall not steal". Emperor Constantine I, the Roman emperor who replaced Pagan worship with Christian worship, also built Christian churches by looting from Pagan temples. The huge bronze alter of the biggest Christian church, St. Peter Basilica, now at the center of Vatican, was made from material which was originally the huge bronze front doors of Pagan temple "Pantheon". Thus, even the church offended God's commands.... True or false?     

11) History shows that it was essential for Roman Emperors to claim the support from god or gods, in order to rule, and that Emperor Constantine I, who built the foundation of Christianity, left his mark in history by claiming supported first by both Pagan Gods and Christian God in two separate spiritual visions. True or false.

12) Jesus was hailed by the church to be the Saviour (Savior), but Jesus neither saved the entire family of Emperor Constantine who gave power to Christianity, nor did Jesus save the Roman Empire, nor any religious wars and religious killings done by his own church, not even the Christian gladiators who died at the Colossuem, nor any known ordinary believers through out the entire history of Christianity. What Jesus had neglected most was the 6 millions Jews that walked into Hitler's gas chamber. Surely Jesus, the Messiah, the Savior, must have heard their desperate prayers.. So, where did all those prayers go?  How much worth is in that title "Jesus the Savior"?

13) The Christian church possessed army and navy, and had fought many bloody battles with European kingdoms. They called non-believers Heretics and burnt thousands of them alive in front of the public in Rome and in Spain (Look up Spanish Inquisition). Scientist Giordano Bruno was burnt alive in AD 1600, therefore for about 1500 years the church oppressed people with extreme measures and terror that also forced Europe into centuries of Dark Ages, which inhibited many centuries of growth in European civilization. This is not an ordinary religion. Ordinary religion does not do all that. And if there is a God, God would not that either.. True or false?   

14) The Catholic church annihilated the religions in Southern America, such as the Incas, the Mayan and the Aztec, and tried to wipe out their historical records and relics. They also tried to wipe out the Arabian cultural influences in Spain, which was conquered and ruled by the Arabs for 7 centuries. Christian believers, led by Hong Siu Chuan, stemming from the church in Macaw tried to take over China by force in the 19th century and caused bloodshed that lasted 4 times as long as the 2nd World War and killed a couple of million Chinese lives, but failed to take over China.  

---- The above points are pure facts of history. Now, in this 21s century of Space Age, these are more questions that must be asked, without the fear of being burnt alive:---  

15) History has witnessed other religions that worshipped the sun or nature. There have been at least a dozen known mythological deities, such as Mithra of Iran/Persia, Buddha and Krishna of India, Horus of Egypt, Indra of Nepal, Promentheus, Hercules, Zeus of Greece, Adad of Assyria, Crit of Chaldea, Hesus of Druids and lots more. They almost all represented the godliness and power of sun, many with the usual accompanying astrological companions, or minor deities of solar planets, and with their related mythological symbolic interpretations, for instance: the Cross (symbolizes sun's rays or power, or the cross of ecliptic and celestial equator), the 12 disciples (symbolizing the 12 solar mansions or zodiacal signs or 12 months of solar travels). Many of them were crucified and resurrected (symbolizing sun set and sun rise), then ascended to heaven on Easter (Spring Equinox, when the sun is reborn)....Many were born of virgin mother (Virgo was the ancient 1st Solar Mansion, symbolizing purity, clean and un-worldliness). Many were born on Dec 25th (Winter Solstice) in a stable witnessed by 3 wise men. Some were said to have walked on water (sun's moving reflection on water) .... These were common similarities between all the listed deities and more. So ask yourself was Jesus meant to be a sun god, ancient deity of mythology, or what?  

(Many of these deities were supposed to have been baptized in a river. Many of them fought with evil. Most of them were called Saviour, Messiah, the Lord, Master, the Truth, the Light, the Good Sheppard, the Redeemer... Some even have carpenter for a earthly father.... Undoubtedly the origin of all these god or deity came from the myth and worship of the sun and other solar phenomena. But apparently even these gods were not invincible because many of them have long become backgrounds of history. The sun is of course bright and the source of light, therefore god of sun represents Light, Righteous and Just, and therefore they battle with evil and darkness, thus they are also the god of battle and war. Sun is life force and therefore god of sun is worshipped as Life and the Lord.... There is no doubt that the similarities of mythological details are astonishing and in no way they could be coincidences. Someday history will demand to know which culture had started first. Bur for the time being the above information already cast a grave shadow over the physical legend of Jesus, and inevitably also on the reality of the entire biblical story... ) 

16) If after some 2000 years God has yet never agreed, nor confirmed, that Jesus was His son, what would that make of Jesus' claim? (There had been many others in history who had also claimed to be sons of God or Heaven too! Hong, the leader of 19th century Christian revolt in China, also claimed to be God's second son and Heavenly Brother of Jesus. Amazing!). True or false?  

17) Our heart goes to the innocent trillions of people who have kneeled and prayed during the past 2000 years, and told to worship the Son of God, the Saviour, not knowing that God had never given his consent or approval for such claim. The same billions who believed in God were not told that unless God has agreed, such claims would amount to fabrication or imposition to God's will and is therefore an offence to God, called blasphemy. It was for that reason Jesus was condemned and punished, and yet after Jesus the church led or forced the entire Europe to commit the same blasphemy. True or false?  

18) If there are no facts to support Jesus' claims to be God's son and to be the Saviour of mankind, then what's left in that religious worship? And since Jesus didn't write the gospels, and was neither a known great scholar, nor great thinker, nor great philosopher, not even a great religious theoretician, how come he became the Light, the Path or the Truth of life? And how did he become the Lord or the Master of your life? Don't you want to know by what historical process he had evolved from a condemned man to become the center of worship?  Who have made you so belittled as to kneel and pray before him? This is the 21st century and not medieval Dark Age, nor age of slavery. Now it's time to ask hard and serious questions because you have no more danger to be burnt alive!... True or false?  

19) Should human civilization believes in divine creation or the knowledge of evolution? Either one or the other, the two cannot co-exist concurrently. One of them will have to be the future of human civilization, and the other the past! True or false?

20) In America, the government has officially prohibited the teaching in schools and colleges the subject of Divine Creation. Does that not deny the religious belief? And does that not set a precedence for other responsible governments around the world to prohibit and control the same church teaching, and therefore control the church? Why do parents all over the world work so hard and hope dearly to make their children intelligent, rational and to be able to distinguish facts from fictions, and to separate logics from the illogical? Right or wrong?

21) O.K. All religions believe in "After Life". So do I!... In after life the gods either reward or punish for what one does in this life. So in after life we are bound to meet our makers, either the gods or our ancestors. Without after life there will be no "Judgment Day" and no hope of continued existence. This must be important and true! Because all humans believe in it since the beginning. But since it is important, then shouldn't humans choose a religion that, in final analysis, brings only peace to the private soul and to mankind, and not bloodshed and dominance, as some religions do? 

22) Religions and prayer can and do bring beautiful love, peace and hope beyond words can describe. Therefore, for those who care, it becomes necessary for them to promote the right kind of belief and put down or expose the wrong kind of worship. Right or wrong?    

(Note:- The Hong Kong Catholic Bishop has just been promoted to be a Cardinal by the Vatican some days ago. I wish him well personally. However, the man said he would continue to speak out for Human Rights and Democracy. If he does insist, then I can only hope he would do the right thing. Hong Kong is presently engaged in search for a newer and improved system of democracy, possibly including eventually Universal Suffrage. The reason that Western democracy is not true democracy has been fully explained and nakedly illustrated in the above with a list of various nations that are having nothing but trouble with Western style democracy. A listed 30 faults of Western style democracy and hidden dangers, and how to overcome those hidden dangers and improve democracy have also been suggested above. Hong Kong is not refusing to institute democracy at all, but only advocating for a truer democracy. China had practiced democracy in a much truer form and longer than any nation in history. For 13 centuries all governmental officers and civil servants were selected from grass roots through exams.  This is the best chance for the new Hong Kong Cardinal to speak out for Hong Kong's hope to achieve the noble goal of a more representative democracy with less control by political parties, and to show Hong Kong people that indeed he is not "working for foreign powers" as he had admitted that some Shanghai people had previously feared that he might do so. If this is what he mean about speaking for democracy, then he deserves my final respect, and of course I would have no more need to put any historical references about his religion in these pages, which, believe me, is just as painful to me in writing as probably to anybody in reading. The eventual answers to the above questions will show people of Hong Kong why and what kind of Cardinal the Vatican has created in Hong Kong. 

As to Human Rights, if he wants to speak out too, there are major offences of Human Rights currently in the West and in Middle East for a courageous man of principle to speak out! Indeed, it takes guts to speak out against invasions! It's so much more important and urgent to speak out for human rights and against wars, bloodshed or wholesale human atrocities that effect the nerve and peace of the entire world, than to speak out for the human rights in this trivial Hong Kong community or any one singled out nations.  Let's hope he will find strength to speak against all the injustices today and not just some of the chosen or preferred ones. Let's hope he would also speak out that Human Rights are the rights of people to choose and live under a government that strives to achieve progress and security in every aspect of living and in national life, including protection of the life and stability of all lives under its care, and not the special rights and privilege of protection for the freedom of the criminals or the criminally intended social, or political, or anti-everything elements.. But what's more, as a church leader, let's hope he would also speak out against anyone trying to turn his church into a political tool! I can live quite nicely with religions without politics!.. 

Lastly, he said the Vatican appointed him as Cardinal not just for the benefit of the Hong Kong people but for the "Whole" Chinese people in China. I think that would depend a great deal on church performance and goodwill shown both today and in the past. China today consists of 99.999 % of Buddhists, Muslims and Chinese ancestral worshippers. He has forgotten about Hong Siu Chuan, the Heavenly Brother of Jesus and how the Macaw Cathedral was burnt down. He in fact needs an invitation to enter China. Anyhow, as a citizen, an officer and an obedient servant of the Vatican nation, if he wants respect for his adopted nation, he must first respect the governmental policies and politics of the country in which he resides. The world of super nature and the world of political struggles are two worlds heaven and earth apart. If a religion can govern a human society properly, there would have been no Dark Age in European history..  Besides, those political powers, authority and influences of Roman Catholic church as it was in the Dark Age had been dead and buried long long times ago... That is a lesson that should have been learned by all people, all governments and all religions long ago..... 

Again, these historical references and messages are not written with the intent to hurt anyone, especially the individual believers of religion, they are passively written only for purpose of reference for the uninformed local majority. I have made this locality my home and I am unable to escape or ignore the political forces and social turbulences that invade my peace and rational being. However, any unnecessary or excess of such historical information, if any, will be removed as soon as political intents between the state or nation of church and that of district governments are clarified. I will not be the obstacle in the way of progress and goodwill, although at times even obstacles can become instrumental to many good things. )

A final word :-  I am not a politician, nor am I a member of any political party. This website is an academic one, it was originally created to explain how the universe works, how life could have began, how to explore and live in other solar planets. Therefore, this website was never intended for any political or religious discussions. However, circumstances has changed that unexpectedly. Twice some over 60 to 70 thousand people had been agitated by political and religious activists to demonstrate in Hong Kong streets in demand of Western style democracy, while Hong Kong was hard at work for an improved democracy by trying to rectify the fundamental falsities in Western democracy. It got to the point that I could no longer ignore or hide from those disturbing forces. In the end I was forced to give warnings about the 3 potential bombs in these pages, namely faulty democracy, political ambitions of supernatural belief and nuclear weapons. These bombs are ticking away loudly as I write, and could lead to a nuclear world war in the coming decades for all of us. I write this final summary because President George Bush has just told Chinese President Wu Jintao (20th Apr 2006) to allow freedom for Chinese people "to speak out, and to worship". Apparently President G. Bush has no idea that everywhere in China traditional worships are flourishing and undergoing a refreshing boom. Hundreds of millions of dollars have been spent on repairs and renovations of old temples in recent years everywhere, including those in Tibet. The worship of ancestors have been going on for 6000 years without any persuasion or coercion. So in response to the presidential call I am one Chinese who now speaks out!...

From certain quarters we hear all the time calls for freedom of this and that. The respect for freedom must begin by first respecting freedom of a civilization, a nation, a government, an organization, or a commercial entity, or even a family to manage its own plans, its aspirations and its domestic problems without interference of outsiders.  Obviously during the course of executing a large and complex national plan, there are always a few exception that cannot fit in. There are also criminal elements and trouble makers in every nation. Rightly or wrongly it is not for outsiders to make it their business, and promote random freedom for the anti-society and anti-government elements. Sadly, there are nations that build their reputations on military threats and political pressures while helping and siding with any trouble makers under the pretext of freedom or human rights, and in doing so everywhere they go, they turn the world into a market for arms and drive the world towards confrontations, or use it as excuse for war. Of course whenever there is a threat, there are also reactions and retaliatory actions. And the more suppression of such retaliatory measures, the quicker the rest of world is helping the creation of a greater global dictatorship, and the more and greater retaliatory measures would escalate, which would bring us all closer to our own fateful nuclear doomsday... Despite the glorious talks of human rights, no single real politician has come forth to speak out or take any action to stop the cause of threat. Every politician thinks he can afford to standby and enjoy watching the show or take part in bringing the rest of mankind closer to that doomsday. So I speak out, for the rest of us, the poor speechless and faceless grass roots who are said to be enjoying democracy, freedom of speech or right of vote, and who are at the wrong ends of political decisions, bombs, from one side or another ...       

Few days ago (beginning of May 2006), China took action to install a couple of their own bishops without permission from the Vatican. The Vatican quickly denounced China for not giving freedom to religion. What they meant was not freedom to religion at all, but freedom of authority and control for the Vatican. It had turned out that it was China that was promoting and giving freedom to religion by increasing 2 bishops. If the Vatican was sincere about religious freedom, it would have sent its blessing right away. Instead, it condemned it... Yet, Vatican is officially a recognized member of United Nations, in other words, an independent nation under the UN Charter. Nobody can install or elect a Pope for them. But the Catholic church is professed on teaching other nations' citizens what to believe, how to think, how to kneel or submit to God and how to criticize their social systems or governments (I have heard only criticisms and seen demonstrations promoted by the church, never once praises for any local political achievements). It's no wonder some European nations used to end up in wars and bloodshed with the Vatican. Many religious sets in history were forced to seek independence from the control of the Papacy in Rome. 

The following list shows those who have become completely free of control from Vatican. The Anglican Church, The Evangelical Reform Churches, Evangelical Methodist Church, Baptist Church, The Church of Jehovah's Witness, The Free Church of Geneva, The Eastern Orthodox Churches, The Coptic Church of Egypt, The National Church of Greece, The Russian National Church, The Ethiopian Orthodox Church, The Armenian Apostolic Church, The Coptic Orthodox Church, The Assyrian Church, The Syrian Orthodox Church,,,, and more... All these churches would not have sought independence, if the Vatican had not used religious belief as a form of control. But why should the hearts and souls of a nation be controlled by a foreign nation or foreign organization, or someone sitting in Rome? Perhaps the Vatican thinks it's the sole representative of God, if so, then what about all those other churches I have just mentioned? I bet you God never appointed the Vatican as His representative, just as God had never agreed to have Jesus as a son. I  bet you also those people in the Vatican do not even know what God looks like or what God would want to do. If God does exist, then acting in the name of God without God's expressive consent is called blasphemy. Am I right or wrong?

Meanwhile, regarding respect for people's belief, or the respect for a civilization or a nation, or even when you talk about human rights, while you exercise control and authority, any form of control and authority, over others. When you interfere or disrespect a government or a nation, you disrespect all its people and the freedom of that people. When you interfere politics, you disrespect the freedom and wish of that majority people, without whom their national faith cannot cohere and their government cannot perform... and when you disrespect other people's principles, you make yourself a spectacle of disrespect, and all your words and actions become also spectacles of disrespect, including those for human rights or whatever freedom you preach the world with... It has always been taken for granted that religions preach good conduct, compassion and exercise charity. That's nothing unusual, otherwise a religion might as well be called a government or a political organization. What's unusual is that any real religions on earth should have interests, agenda, history or ambitions on pure politics. These things cancel out all the good conduct, the purpose and the respect of religions. 

Now since this page is all about religion, I can hardly leave without saying a few words about religion in China  In China, religious belief never became an assembled force or mass movement. In fact, early Chinese civilization converted almost all religion that entered China into a individual soul searching practice. Buddhism was deliberately imported into Chinese society by  Tang dynasty emperor around 700 AD. Immediately it became very Chinese and an individual personal belief, blended into the rituals of ancestral worship. Essentially the Chinese Buddhists use meditation and inner conditioning to harmonize with spiritual existence in nature. Another original Chinese religion, the Daoism, worships nature and search in alchemy for elongation of physical life, which was almost a chemical and medial science. It also search for inner perfection through mediation. The most lasting spiritual belief is the Chinese worship of ancestors... All these religious or spiritual beliefs are personal and private endeavours in search for harmony and union with spiritual nature. None of these spiritual beliefs are regimented, guided or conducted and congregated in repeated intervals, such as Sundays. Of course, all religions in human history are invented by humans, as different cults worship different spiritual beings. However, there is a common stem. All regions believe in after-life. Obviously, if nothing exists or only oblivions exists after life, then there is no cause for any religion to exist...   

In China, the most notable spiritual belief is the worship of ancestry. In all Chinese history there was never any conflicts or wars caused by religious belief. This is because since prehistoric times, Chinese people have been fundamentally ancestor worshippers. Like all religions, Chinese ancestral worshipping believes also in the after-life, but instead of believing to face some identifiable super mighty lords or masters in the after-life, the Chinese believe that the spirits of ancestors and descendants would all meet again in that netherworld (of course where else? Since all religion relates that conscience or spirit still exists post mortal). Obviously if ones spirit can exist after life, then why not ones ancestors as well? And if after-life does exist, then obviously all spirits would meet again. What can be more obvious and intimate or sensible? And what could one say to his parents or ancestors in their reunions?... Also traditional Chinese ancestor worshippers believed that it is the most important thing never to neglect ones ancestral spirits. If one neglects ones ancestral spirits, then one too might be neglected by ones own ungrateful descendants, which of course no one would like. As a result Chinese people keep detailed records of birth, death and important achievements of ancestors as well as exact family trees. These records are still respectfully and proudly preserved in all family clans to an average of about 80 generations today. To the Chinese people, a stranger he bumps into in the street could be his uncle or cousin genetically, but from the name of the clan rank he will immediately know. Who knows, perhaps someday that will turn out to be important in organ transplant, or other new medical uses, or genetic research, because in many Chinese family clans each generation is given a name to denote his generation or his clan rank, a unique condition for genetic studies.. 

So, for about 6000 years until today, the worship of family ancestral spirits made more practical and realistic sense to Chinese people than devotion to any indescribable or incomprehensible super-beings, which is so different in so many religions. Since ancestral worship is very individual and private act, the net result was that there was no conducted or guided prayers, nor collective or mass meetings every Sunday, nor regimented political or collective religious force, nor religious militants, and therefore there was never any religious wars or bloodshed, even for the biggest nation in the world. This is something for the evolved humans, especially evolved national leaders to think about  in this nuclear mass destructive age!...  Instead, ancestral worship gives children enhanced family love, devotion, family education, added belief, security and protection. It also makes Chinese people very much family minded people, no matter where they go and live in the world. Every family clan has its own association for keeping contact with members, which enhance and coheres the society in peace and in family spirits. Because spiritual belief is very powerful, and it goes very deep, the Chinese ancestral worship remain strong after some 6000 years. If religions are right about the second life, then Chinese ancestor worshippers would be proud to love or be loved and meet their beloved family once again, because their ancestral spirits have been taken care of and remembered...

On the other hand, certain religions are created by ancient rulers, who then clamed to be authorized by God or gods to rule his subjects. Some of such God empowered imperial rulers would later allow religious leaders to over take government authorities and to possessed army and navy of their own. Religious authority would then grow to the extend of making wars with national monarchs and burn dissents alive, even plunging the entire civilization into centuries of darkness. All these are recorded in history. As these religions have taken their origin from Sun worshipping, and their absolutely super yet mesmerizing power are becoming less awesome and fearful each day, their true history and development are now becoming nakedly exposed by the day. For instance, many recent publications reveal the similarity and obvious relationship between Christianity and other sun worshipping religions, especially the Persian Paganism and its God Mithras. Historical revelations also show how Roman emperor Constantine single handedly refashioned the Roman Pagan religion into Christianity. However, even such historical revelations are less important, what's more important is the Christian church's influence in the modern day politics. 

Christianity was the political creation of emperor Constantine, coupled with the Roman tradition of public oratory, passed down by centuries of Roman Republic politics. As a result, it became a political religion, which used gatherings in repeated days of worship, with conducted and guided preaching and prayers. Members were initiated with sworn oath and baptism, and controlled by confessions. As a result, it became a regimented religious force. Such force was used to conquer successfully many cultures in Europe, Southern America and Africa. It also tried unsuccessfully to take over Chinese imperial rule. Its ambition to control the church leadership and therefore its followers had never stopped. It often organizes political movements, such as street demonstrations or protests, using its only assets, i.e. the believers. Therefore, it becomes a political Trojan Horse in the lands that allow it to exist and spread. Religions had made many wars in the past... Yet, all the time it alone knows its own history and development, namely, that it had stemmed from Pagan worship of Sun... The use of repeated and conducted preaching and guided mass prayers are powerful and persuasive subconscious influences, which younger church goers find difficult to detach. In some certain church meetings followers are repeatedly aroused to the pitch of crying out loud and in tears. It is also a known fact that a religious fever can cause a follower to commit suicidal acts. In fact, it has happened that a whole religious congregation could be so aroused as to commit mass suicide. Therefore, this mass swaying energy and make belief capacity, this hidden political potential, as well as its origin and history should be made open to all religious followers. What's more, the decision to appoint Bishops should always belong to national authorities. If not, then that national church organization would be forced to free itself from its foreign control, like so many churches have done in the past (see above list). Because if a religious organization does not respect a national authority, then it does not deserve respect from all people in that nation...    

So, let me emphasize again. Religion is a personal belief that links the intimate soul to the majestic but inexplicit nature. There is no doubt some divine intelligence or vibrations exist. It is even almost certain that a spiritual world existing after life, which is what all religions believe. And yet the records of history tell us that all religions were invented by man some thousands of years ago. Today, billions of proven facts in science show that human origin stems from biological evolution. So god did not create man! It's man who created god, all sorts of gods! No one can deny that today! And yet, the chance is that a spiritual world does exist, as you can almost feel it. Without it, all religions would have existed in vain. So let's all affirm that such after life is real. However, if gods are man's mythological creation, them gods would not be present in that after world. Instead, it would be our meeting with our beloved parents and ancestors again... If and when that day arrived, what would say to your beloved? It's not your fault that you have kneeled in worship to nothing, and forgotten all about them?... But if there is no after conscience and no after world at all, then what would you have rather worshipped, remembered, prayed to or seek comfort from still? Your beloved family spirit, or the non-existent gods? (Some seek spiritual comfort in God or gods, others seek the same from ancestral spirits. There is no difference!).... I write this, not just for you, but for my own sake as well!  

Last Note :-  I started to write this page with considerable reservations, but I added more and more materials as things evolved and I felt situation required them. However, through out the entire process of writing this page, I am confronted with the problem of how much reservation I should keep and how far should I go? So I decided to stick to known facts and questions only, yet still keep reasonable reservations. Part of the analysis here may seem brutal to some readers, but it is not! What's brutal is the time we live in, and it would become more brutal if and when any or all of these described potential bombs explode... So, let me hope that the entire grass roots in this world would join in to support Hong Kong's efforts, because that would make a fairer and healthier world for all. Hong Kong may be a small town, but her efforts could be the start of true people's rule by representation, free of party politics. Only a government without internal political struggles (often aided by external supports, but a democracy without political parties would be difficult for external interference) and controls or elimination of of political parties can smoothly return the rights and true aspirations to the people and to the nation as a whole. Only then the government can settle down to do the best for the people, and not the best for the parties. Only then, the nation and the people of the world can be more safe and more peaceful. So, let us rally together and relay this new Olympia torch across our home planet and use it to diffuse those dangerous time bombs... 

Lastly, if I have offended anybody, then let it be known that I do not intend to be personal at all. These writings are merely reports and analysis of history. Actually I am very sorry too, sorry that I have to take this unwanted and undesirable initiative to say these things. But please do not randomly and easily dismiss my observation that we are still at the peak of Halley comet's second wave influence. So, let us all be careful of over excited brain activities and watch out for those unusual cosmic stimulations that might be getting worse in the next year or so... I am saying this because it appears the will, the means, the wrong kind of brains and the excitation are not diminishing, we may be about to witness major tragic history in the making, with unpredictable consequences for all. I am also more than concerned that cosmic vibrations may turn ominous between end of Aug 2006 and July 2007 when wrong political decisions could be made, or the dread of Bird Flu might finally become somewhat real. It is for those reasons that the two long political letters were written in 1989 and 1990, and this conclusion is now given. Hopefully my warning will turn out to be wrong, and hopefully with the combined global efforts the danger may be controlled and adverted without major costs and regret... 

As to the religious syncretization, it was purposely designed and created by the Roman family killer Constantine for the use of European Dark Age and Spanish Inquisition as well as a modern day Trojan Horse. This is a loudly ticking time bomb, but it's such a crude, primitive and dirty nuclear bomb made in ancient Roman time that obviously is going to blow up in a few short years, as more and more historic details are coming out. Once it does, its pollution would be enormous. However, such explosion is inevitable in the age of space science intelligence. I take no pleasure in reporting it, and do not expect to receive flowers or applauses, but if I could just sound off the alarms loud enough, and some church leaders in Rome might do something about it, in time before it blows up in the face of those who are close to it. In which case, it will be worth the scorns that I may be receiving ....  (I am really encourage to see that the war in northern Lebanon did not escalate and did not stretch beyond July 2006. Perhaps it is the first sign that indicates the approaching end for the whole duration of Halley influence, although it's more likely that maximum influence can only reduce towards end of 2008).
